Today’s Keurig

Any thoughts on TSV from those of you who have a Keurig? Very tempting, but I have heard pro and con on this brand, somewhat on how long it lasts. I am undecided.

Years ago I had bad luck with Keurig. Now I have a mini. It is a one button single cup model. Works great. I've had it about a year. Would def buy another if and when this one dies.

I'm wondering what the cons would be to a Keurig. I'm on my third one now. The first lasted 8 or 9 years before it died. The second about 5 or 6 years. It died slowly. Some days it worked, some days not so much. We bought the current one at Walmart last winter for $99. It has frother but our frother is built in. It's not a separate attachment. Hubby makes cappuccino frequently . I rarely use the frother. I love getting a perfect cup of coffee every time. I love the speed. I will never be without a Keurig. I see no reason to try any other brand.

I think it's a great value for those who use a frother and the other items with it. I would not. I have had my current Keurig for about 6 years and the one before that for maybe 8 years. I descale it routinely and never have an issue with it. The one I had first just quit working for some reason. But we love it. I poured so much coffee down the drain with the coffee pot.

I've had this model or a similar one,for about 2 years. I've had Keurigs for about 15 years. They've never failed me. The customer service is incredible. I had an issue once several years ago & although out of warranty the company replaced the machine.

This particular model is my favorite because I'm the only coffee drinker.My DH likes brewing his tea in the microwave. I don't need a big coffeemaker. This one fits nicely into a little corner on my counter.

I'm not ordering this because mine still works fine. I also don't need the frother or storage unit. But I highly recommend the machine.

@cherrywood I have had many Keurig models. I purchased the same TSV a couple years ago and it did not last long...only a couple months. Too late to return to QVC. Most of my Keurigs have lasted at least 5 years that I have purchased different places locally....and I would never be without one. When my last one died, I went to Walmart and got the one that makes both hot and cold beverages. It takes up much less counter space and a much better price. They have a 90 day return policy, so that works best for me.

@cherrywood I've had good luck with Keurig. My first mini lasted for 20 years. I gad bought a second one at the same time for my snowbird home - that one I gave to a friend when I downsized to one home. Just this year I bought a new mini quite similar to this new one except for the water tower. I don't have that, but I have very little counter space so I'm not buying today's offer.

I bought the mini when it was a TSV around this time in 2019. It lasted about 4 months. Called Keurig and they sent a new on. The next one didn't last too long either, so I called again and they replaced it. Third time was the charm as I still have that one,so about 3 years now. Just an FYI, I only drink one cup a day.

We aren't big coffee drinkers (maybe 2-3 times a week) but we bought one directly from Keurig earlier this year and it's similar to this one without the frother. We've been happy with it. I usually make ice tea or iced coffee (I don't like hot drinks) or an occasional hot chocolate while my husband will make a cup of coffee once or twice a week. I like that Keurig has tons of choices for drinks that you normally won't find in a store.

For a while there seemed to be 20 different versions of Keurigs on the market at one time. There were just too many, and some got bad reputations for not lasting long.

I've gone through three Keurigs over a 10 year period. One broke down, and two others just needed an upgrade of their features.

I've had a Nespresso coffee maker for the past 18 months or so, and will never go back. The coffee temp is hotter and the coffee itself is superb. I think there are still some Keurig versions that let you adjust the temp, but that's not this TSV.

I also have a Miroco frother that I purchased separately.

The cons I hear on Keurig are that they stop working, so short shelf life. But I realize cons are with any purchase.

I had one that lasted years. Lat year I bought one thru the Keurig website-its stopped working at about 8 months but Keurig replaced it with same model and color for no charge. While it was broke I bought a Mr Coffee to use but realized I like to have a cup of coffee when i first wake up and then it might be an hour until I have the second cup. So I'll probably always use a Keurig.

My husband only drinks coffee. I prefer tea. He still makes coffee using Mr. Coffee. As it is he only drinks one cup a day. So we never had the coffee with the cups. I asked my husband if he wanted one. He doesn't. He's happy with what he has now. My sister only drinks Starbuck kind. Has a Mr. Coffee at home, but still prefers Starbuck to drink. She goes each day on her way to work.

I have the same model as the TSV. I bought it as Costco this past spring on sale. It works great and the footprint is smaller than the other models we have had.

It came with a full box of Donut Shop coffee pods and two smaller boxes of various pods... 18 total, two charcoal filters and a refillable pod.

I paid under $90 for it. It is now about $140.

I would buy this model again and recommend it.

The coffee center that comes with the TSV doesn't interest me. There is no room on the counter for it and I already have a frother that I never use.

I had a keurig fo years, I prefer the coffee that my nespresso makes. I now use the nespresso exclusively and put the keurig in storage.

My mama had one and she really loved it. When I would go visit, I would use it, but my coffee never really seemed as hot as when I use my French Press. I do think it it is convenient, though.

I think if I was single, I might get one. I don't need the frother and all that stuff, though. My husband and I use a French Press and love it. Prior to him I always had a percolator, the cute little Farberware 4-cup one. I've really become partial to a French Press, though. In my opinion, I get the full flavor of the coffee and we both like it dark and strong. Goya or Santo Domingo espresso is our favorite.

Just curious. I am in the need of a new coffee maker. I did not like the Keurig that I just got rid of. I only drink one cup of coffee a day. I drink it black and prefer Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Any suggestions?

Good for you! What color?

I bought 2, Silver Sage for my daughter and Cappuccino for me.

I've had Keurigs for years, lasted a long time, except my last which stopped working after 2yrs. I called Keurig, they had me run tests while still connected with them, asked if I wanted a replacement, I asked could I take the replacement cost and apply to an upgrade, which I upgraded to K Cafe Special Edition.

All metal, metal drip plate, a great brewer w/ attached frother-capp; latte; cold buttons w/stainless frothing cup.

Very nice looking machine and works fantastically However, I don't always use the frother and could use the extra space for glass mugs on a stand or rack.

I'm going to try the TSV, especially to see if the 5 needle multi stream is better taste wise. Which ever one I like better, I'll give the other to one of my children.

So they'll either receive the TSV or my months old K Cafe Special Edition.

If you have any problems with your brewer, no matter how old, call Keurig. Sometimes they'll offer a discount, however there's a special line to call for that, the regular order line I don't think does that, but try both as I may have the lines mixed up to get the best deal.
