the rice polish is a great product

however after listening to Jane T go on and on about Josie's products it's a disconnect to see a quote from her about how Tatcha changed her skin on the home page of the tSV

I just want the makeup remover, and rice powder. All the other "stuff" I would not use. Sad to see no makeup remover. Supposed to use that first, then the rice powder. Oh well.

Too pricey and when you hear all the hosts going crazy over each and every name brand product they are selling you KNOW they are basically all the same in what they do. Love the way they switch from one name brand to another. I remember one host mentioned how she had 4 bottles of Philosphy shower gel in her shower at once then when a Beekman show was on she said the soap is "all family uses". Selling...

This set is called "Classic Treasures" and I think that's the focus in this particular kit. If this doesn't meet your particular needs then it's just not the kit for you. I don't see this as a "meeting everyone's needs" kit.

The hosts engage in industry standard selling routines, that's all and it's up to the consumer to decide what works for them. I like Tatcha products as a rule, but also use less expensive alternatives.

If the hosts introduced the product and let the vendors talk about the products it would be more believeable. Although the hosts seem to try the products we know they cannot be using all they sell. Telling me she uses Josie Maran one hour and Tatcha in the next show is an insult to my intelligence. Does she think I have no retention of what is said? And more importantly, I do not care what a host uses, it is not a selling point for me.

I have ordered this Tatcha TSV on auto, plus added a serum (always important to me), the Tatcha Dewy Serum Plumping and Renewing Treatment A510680.

I realize there are some who want to complain about price.

Some who want to see dramatic results.

Some who criticize a host who doesn't appear to have fabulous skin.

However, the best ingredients always cost more. Tatcha is well-known for the quality of ingredients they use (many professional beauty blogs).

Skin treatments that are not prescription will never show DRAMA after using one or two weeks. (Exception, recently, seems to be the bags-under-the-eyes products, which are temp for THAT day and harder to remove.)

Hosts use all sorts of products. Part of trying things. FEW hosts will state that they ONLY use one skin product. I ever use their face as a guide. Who knows what they've been using.

That said, I consider also biological habituation.

As my favorite beauty contributor @SilleeMee shares with us, learn the ingredients, the chemistry between ingredients.

Drugs we take and treatments we apply to the skin will eventually lose some of their effectiveness.

So, I alternate.

My two favorite skin care products are Perricone and Tatcha.

Every few years, I switch.

Have been using Cold+ and Firming Moisturizer from Perricone, ready to indulge in Tatcha again.

My skin loves both.

I, too, use Perricone and Tacha and on a whim I purchased OAM. I am impressed. I especially like their cleanser and serum. After just put about a week using their kit my skin has the " brightness" I was looking for. @1Professor

Everything is not for everyone.....alot of people also love this. That is why the Q gives you 30 days to return. For the people that think this is too expensive ...Tatcha is a higher end brand so don't watch or buy it

And especially when the host is so wrinkled and admittedly dry.

Edited to say I did watch a presentation and am even tempted to try the TSV. I am sorry I jumped to conclusions regarding the products. Are they clean beauty? I have not heard anyone say so. TIA...

@FranandZoe I disagree, I did see a difference in the before and afters, quite a big difference. However, with that said, I do not purchase a product based on BandA's.

I did purchase this TSV. I love Tatcha products. The rice powder leaves your skin feeling amazing. I also love the serum stick as well, one of my fav's. I use other products, some Dr. Denese and Peter Thomas Roth items. Along with those I use Philosophy for cleansing, while using Beekman bar soaps for my face in the shower. In addition I use the Pria neck night cream.

With all these products I use I could see a host swearing by multiple products. I'm sure they do not use one certain brand for everything. With all that said, some hosts really aren't great representatives of specific brands. Perhaps they don't stick with one brand due to receiving beauty products free for trying them. I do think QVC needs to re-evaluate which hosts sell aging products.

I watched the first few minutes of the midnight presentation. It seemed like a strange thing to demonstrate -- here, watch while I smear this stick under my eye and compare it to the other one. I personally didn't see a difference and by doing that, she was saying "hey, I use it and look how much it has worked for me." Or, if she was saying that it instantly helps, showing both sides confirmed the fact that the results are definitely not long-lasting.

@sligo - It seems the only one you can get with the TSV is the classic. It does still come in the other formulas if you order it by itself.

I have used a rice powder cleanser since I taught in Japan. It's been harder to find here in the past, until Tatcha came along. Fresh made a great one, but for some crazy reason discontinued it.

I started with Tatcha's classic, but switched to sensitive. I do like this formula. I don't use many other Tatcha products.

I was tempted by the TSV, but decided to pass. I've never tried any of the other products in it.

Tatcha has nice, high end products. But I never believed the whole story about the "special" book! I met a Geisha in Kyoto in a lady's room. She told me she used Estée Lauder products!

@ASLTW Tatcha is high quality. Your skin will always be pleased.

I follow several beauty blogs and some are by board certified dermatologists.

Why anyone would decide based on how something looks on a host or whether they can get something cheaper at the drug store I have no idea.

I first learned about "habituation" when I studied for 3 years POST doctorate (PhD) in counseling psychology. We took mandatory pharmacology courses that revealed how much drug prescriptions would need to be changed over the years as the body no longer had the same reaction.
