Beekman laundry soap

Does this work? I use Nellie's and it's pretty good. Wonder how this works. One thing they NEVER discuss is amount v.s. size of load. They tell you 1 scoop but what if you use the largest capacity load cycle? I would then need 2 scoops I'm thinking...I do that with Nellie's cause they also always say, "one scoop". No way.

@bargainsgirl Read the reviews. That's what I did. I always search by Most Helpful. They aren't that great. Many say basic stains are not removed and also say residue is left behind.

I was considering purchasing until reading reviews. I want clean clothes, and I do not want to have to double rinse when California has such a water shortage.

I use Nellies too--and use a scoop and 1/2 most times. am happy with it. I just bought from AMZ--150 load package of Nellies for under $30, so I guess their prices are in line. Don't feel the need to change even for that bonus tupperware container----

I like their powder. It does remove stains. We have a ranch and as you can imagine, we get some great ones. From grease to poo. My whites stay bright, no yellowing. I prefer their liquid. The clothes seem softer. I've used Nellie's and like it, but this works better for me. Like Nellie's no harsh chemicals You use very little so it's very cost effective.My last gallon of liquid has lasted a little over a year and I do about 5 loads a week.

@bargainsgirl Many of the reviews say 1 scoop for a large load. I have the liquid and for a large load, it's 3 capfuls so.... I don't know.

I've tried Nellies and it was awful; left streaks and residue on the clothes (obvious on darks) and the drum. I had ordered a sample pack and passed it on to another person who had the same problem. I love Nellies brightening powder, however; odd that it works perfectly but the detergent did not.

FYI: I just ordered 2 of the Beekman TS (citrus and lavender) and though the total was over $75, I was still charged shipping and handling on both. CS service says they can't remove it until it ships. I'm wondering if I should just cancel and stick to the liquid.

I just have tried so many natural laundry products, never found one that really cleans, as far a goats milk laundry ,i found them to eventually leave a slight sour smell.

terribly overpriced in my opinion. I purchase Purex at Big Lots for a fraction of the price. I'm not giving these two a dime of my money.

Think about it. Would you ever put powdered milk in your washing machine to clean your clothes.

Just the thought of washing clothing in milk is gross. It serves no purpose as it doesn't help clean or remove stains. It has to be rinsed out.

Remember infant clothing with milk stains? Remember washing those items seperately? No one wanted milk on their clothing..even in the washer.

Why change now and pay top dollar to do so?

I was using Nellie's for a while and then noticed I my clothes, towels, etc had a SOUR smell to them after about a week. They were also not as white or bright. I couldn't figure out the smell until I switched back to my old detergent. GONE was the smell and my things were brighter and smelling fresh again. I gave a HUGE tub of unopened Nellie's to our Vet, who was happy to have it, cancelled my AD, and am back using TIDE or PERSIL. I'm MUCH HAPPIER with both. Never use softener, just the dryer balls.

Never tried the Beekman products because of my experience with Nellie's and because I'm happy with what I'm using.

I didn't like Beekmans or Nellie's detergents. They didn't seem to dissolve and I was finding little white pellets on my clothes. I switched to Dropps about two years ago and have been very happy with their product. Use both their laundry detergent and dishwashing detergents. Do not like their fabric softener.

I bought some when the first came on the air. I'm sorry but I need bubbles. I just can't feel that my clothes and towels are clean unless I see bubbles.

I have used the Beekman powder laundry detergent and ended up tossing it out because it left white residue behind on my clothes which was a dealbreaker for me. However, I do use their liquid detergent for my work and dressier clothes and it works fine for those. But keep in mind that I don’t get grass or mud stains on those clothes lol!

@Reever I have always bought Tide. Probably because my Mother always bought Tide. I have been very disappointed with Tide the last few years. If there was a spot on any clothing even using Tide Stain Release that spot was still there after washing the clothing. I stopped buying Tide.

I bought Purex last week because the grocery was having a sale. I bought Orange Blossom. Yesterday I washed my sheets and could not believe how nice the sheets smelled after I put them back on the bed. It was such a light clean scent.

Will buy Purex again and again.

Purex also makes a detergent free of dyes and scents. It can be found at Walmart. Do not give these two snake oil salesmen any of your money.

I was not impressed at all. I could not see that it cleaned anything better nor did my clothes smell better. The absolute deal breaker was the residue it left on my cloths. It is difficult getting it off dark colored clothing.

The reason you were charged shipping and handling on each item because they were only $59.99 each ;therefore you are charged the shipping and handling. At the end of the day if you total is over $75, they will reconcile your account and refund. It may take 7-10 days until your account reflects the correct amount..I think people have not fully read their new policy.

I use Mrs. Meyers and am happy with it. I also think the hardness of your water, can make or break how well detergents work.

I use Arm and Hammer both the regular liquid and the Oxy one, very econimical and delivers powerful cleaning.

Nellie's and Beekman laundry detergent-I have used both of them. Currently I am using Nellie's-one scoop per load. If it is a particularly soiled or smelly load, I add 1/2 C. of baking soda or about 1/2 C. of (diluted) Odo Ban product. Overall, I think Nellie's does a better job getting my laundry clean, but I have no complaints about the Beekman line of laundry products. By the way, I have a Speed Queen washer and dryer. They do a super good job with my laundry. Maybe the make of the appliances you use has an effect on the cleanliness result.
