I got this a few years ago. It is so much better than a traditional hose. It took me about 15 minutes to get it unkinked right out of the box. That's the only problem I've had with it. I leave it coiled behind the bushes all year long and haven't had a single problem. I use it all summer long to water my potted plants. It uncoils smoothly and is easy to return to the coiled position when I'm finished with the day's watering. It's connected to the faucet all summer, too. Come the Fall, I disconnect it from the faucet and tie plastic baggies around either end to prevent bugs from nesting in it. My Sunpatiens were delivered a few days ago and I'll reconnect the hose for another season's use.

I have one I purchased a few years ago. It has a red nozzle. I keep it connected to the water faucet all year wrapped around a hose holder. In the winter I shut the water off from inside to prevent the pipe from bursting. I am very satisfied with my hose. I purchased the fireman's nozzle to connect to this hose. It is supposed to be dlivered today.

I purchased one of these hoses a few years ago . After trying several different flexible hoses ; this one actually doesn’t break or leak !

I almost bought one of those hoses when it was presented on the Q a few years ago. Then I read the reviews and some, if not several, of those reviews said their hoses started to leak so I decided not to buy one. Previous reviews had a 2.5-star average rating.

Some other brands of steel hoses had similar reviews about leaks. I think it might be an innate design flaw in the steel-type hoses themselves and not the brand.

Does your hose have good pressure? Seems that was another thing mentioned in the reviews, that it didn't have very much pressure.

I sang praises for these hoses, having gotten one when I believe they were first presented, maybe 4-5 years ago. I got the 50' then decided the next time I saw it to get a 100' for the backyard. After about a month of getting the 100' one, my 50' decided to spring a leak. I tried to search for the company because I thought it had a long warranty period, no luck. In another month's time, the new 100' one sprang a leak, same place as the other, about 2' from the nozzle end. Not sure what the issue was but at the new prices, I won't take a chance to getting another. I never had any pressure problems, I loved everything about the hoses except that they eventually leaked. Having one for so long with no problems then having the same problem within a year was disappointing because they seemed to push the fact that they would not leak.

If you need a longer hose, noticed that Amazon has them in 125 foot lengths. They're almost $100. Most people give good ratings, but I'm on the fence. That's a lot of money to spend for a hose if they only last 6 months to a couple of years, as some reviewers stated.

@Eileen in Virginia same here. My hose has been outside connected to my faucet since the day I received it. I live in Philly so we experience all 4 seasons of weather. The only thing I do is shut my water off from the inside in the winter so my outdoor pipe doesn't freeze. No leaks and no loss in water pressure.

@deeva I have never experienced this. As noted I live where we get all 4 seasons of weather and in the summer it is hot & humid. My hose has never been too hot to handle. In fact it has never felt hot at all.

@deeva Our temps haven't gotten that high, but they have gone as high as the high 90's. I have a plastic nozzle/sprayer on mine, so it's okay to handle. I will say, though, that the water can get pretty warm if I don't water my plants until later in the day (we get full sun in this area of our yard most of the day). I just spray it over the lawn until the water cools, then water my plants. This happened with my regular hoses, too, though.

The Bernini hoses are tempting but I don't mind dealing with my rubber hoses. I wrestle with them sometimes, but they are after all less expensive. And if I left a Bernini hose on my patio in this condo community, I'm afraid it would be stolen.

I've had a metal hose for several years with no problems. I don't remember if it's a Bernini or not. It's rolled up on hose cart and stays hooked up to the faucet all summer, although I unhook it to cover my faucet in winter. Never had any problems with it. I do have one caution though. DON'T STEP ON IT, especially if it's laying on a hard flat surface like concrete unless you want to immediately end up on your behind. Personal experience.
