Colleen's Moonstone Ring

I ordered and received Colleen's "Colleen Lopez "Lit Within" Rainbow Moonstone and Multigem Sterling Silver Ring" No. 422-122

I really love it. The moonstone is sizeable and the surrounding gemstones--London blue topaz, garnet, rhodolite, citrine, amethyst and peridot on shoulders do a nice job of contrasting the moonstone. It is done with black rhodium plating,something I wasn't sure I would like, but it works, gving the ring a somewhat etheral appearance.

FYI--the ring does run small, I had to order up a size, but it is really striking and a conversation starter with people who love jewelry.

For a different style...This is the moonstone ring I purchased at Evine when it was a TTV months ago. Passage to Israel 148-174. The moonstone is gorgeous & it's a stunning "pointer" finger ring. Also sold with other stones

Bought a ring similar to Margo's at Ross-Simon a few years ago, but mine doesn't have the black rhodium.

Hey, Margo, I was looking for a perfect moonstone for a long time, but anything I ordered by any channel were cracked or not attractive.

I followed your lead and watched the presentation, looked really beautiful to me and clean.

So I used 20% coupon and ordered with 5 payments too.

i really hope that mine will be perfect like the video or like yours. The only thing is I forgot to size up like you mentioned, so I hope may be mine will fit perfectly.

The prettiest Moonstone jewelry I've found is on HSN...the Nicky Butler line. My favorite piece is a Moonstone tennis bracelet. Everytime I wear it I get asked where I found it. I check Nicky B first when I want more Moonstones. Lovely!

I received my CL moonstone ring today. What a disappointment!!!!!!

The setting is beautiful, sparkly gemstones, comfy, but the center stone, the focal point is cracked and chipped straight across .

Soooo sad... ((

OK , I am giving them another try, I order another one just now. See what happens.

Coleen was saying that they all are perfect. So much for perfection...

I received a second CL moonstone ring and again, the central stone has lines and cracks across.. Going right back again. I think I am done.

How could she claim during the presentation that every stone is perfect and celected for perfection???!!!😡😠☹️

There's a Carol Brodie Moonstone ring on sale for something like $70. It also has the black rodium. I'm tempted to try it.

Thank you LyndaGee. I am disappointed I Carol's jewelry too. I have tried her pieces including moonstones too, all went back. The quality of her stones are not good even though overall design looks great on TV.

Maybe I am too picky, maybe I am too spoiled by old Shopnbc stuff that I have and is great. Who knows?

oh , forgot to mention that I ordered a moonstone ring from Etsy yesterday.

Its on the way to my house already. Looked good on the picture. It is set in bronze though.... It was really cheap, $30. The stone is 15 mm in diameter, pretty large.

If the quality turn out to be good ( I want no large superficial cracks,inclusions and I want a blue chatoyancy ) I can always reset it in gold or silver.

So I will post after I see it. I am very obsessed with moonstones, love it but so far wasn't able to find a good one. (((

I love moonstones but have found that so many when sold via mass production are horrible quality. HSN sells many and often they are rainbow moonstones; when the stone is an excellent quality, it's gorgeous. However, often they are white and opague and or have cracks/lines running in them or just under the surface. In the past 3 months, I have ordered 12 different moonstone items from HSN; all went back except for a pair of earrings as every moonstone was milky white /opague and/or had cracks in the stone.

Shame.
