The simple and unfortunate fact is that QVC is no longer much interested in jewelry. Trying to watch their holiday shopping offerings are like an endurance test, they're so bad... And I see the've programmed another Christmas season essentially without jewelry... If they haven't already, I'm sure they'll devote one stinking day to Honora, but otherwise, jewelry is pretty much off their radar. Their financial reports indicate jewelry isn't selling well... Could it be that it doesn't sell well because it's never on and when it is on, it's most often astronomically priced 'designer' silver or the same tired house brands of over-priced costume and fashion jewelry...?

I wish that when QVC is giving the carat weright of the stones they would divide them - for example instead of saying a 3c ring they would say a 2 c center stone and each side is 1/2 c and the stones down the shank are 2 points each. I find the way they do it I can't visualize how big the stones are and often times when I see them in person I am dissappointed and send them back.

You're absolutely right. Evine does it the way you've described.....which is much better.

Yes I've always wanted to know how large the center stone is on a ring, not just the total carat weight. I wouldn't mind getting the size in milimeters, too, when refering to the stone or the width of a ring. It's so much more precise than parts of an inch.

QVC used to be very detailed on their jewelry and now...(as with clothing) they seem to be talking more about esthetics and not the specifics. EVINE Is great with measuring their jewelry and in my opinion it's better quality lately than the Q or HSN.

QVC, again~my opinion...needs to get back to its roots and stop trying to make every host a celebrity!!!

I agree this "total wgt of 1 1/2 carets" is a pain. So how much is in the accent stones compared to the center stone ? Industry has done this for yrs.
