Bronzo Italia Composition

I've been trying to find more information on this process. Are they bronze then clad in silver, gold or rose gold. I just saw the bangles and they look nice but the description is not very informative. Thank you

They are bronze through and through, as they state it. Then it's plated in silver, black rhodium, rose or yellow gold.

I hear that the plating wears off!!! I placed an order for a bracelet that Antonella showed early on in the shows, and then read the reviews and several people stated that the plating wears off. Won't be buying a thing from these shows. Ended up cancelling my order. I will not waste 100 dollars to have the plating wear off in two months time. No way!!

They say they're not plated; they're yellow, rose or white all the way through. Watch long enough and they'll show a cross section of one. The only one plated is the black. It's ionic plated, a process used on watches like Ripka's black watch. They are treated with some sort of lacquer to keep them from tarnishing. Untreated bronze really isn't suitable for jewelry because it tarnishes so rapidly and must be polished professionally to return it to its original shine. I have some bronze rings I got at craft shows and even when kept in an anti-tarnish box, they tarnish in a few days.

Hi Kachina: I ordered the Byzantine bracelet that Antonella showed in the beginning of her show and it is plated. At least the silver one is. Two reviewers stated the plating wore off on it and one said the plating wore off after two months of wear. It's a shame because that bracelet is gorgeous. After reading the reviews on the silver one I had to cancel. I'm wasn't going to take a chance after spending 100 dollars to have that plating wear off. The plating is stated in the description. Antonella never mentioned about plating she just showed the metal cut in half. She should have mentioned about the plating also. So buyer beware!!!

The Bronzo silvertone wears off quickly. Less than 10 wearings was what I got out of my bracelet. Ladies are correct who say the information suggests the coloring is through and through but it is not. It is simply bronze dipped in silver and it does not hold.

I think the only Bronzo I own is the large turquoise watch. I have it in silver. I love it and have worn the heck out of it, but it looks good as new. FIY - The price has gone up $20, since I got mine. Suppose the price of bronze is skyrocketing?

No, it is an alloy. They often show a piece that has been cut in half and the color goes the whole way through.

Bronzo is nothing more than bronze plated in gold. My friend from Italy says it's worn only as super cheap costume jewelry there.

I wish they'd feature more silver and less bronze. Some people like Bronzo Italia, but I am not one of them.

I purchased two pieces of Bronzo Italia a couple years ago before they started adding the yellow gold and silver plating. Both tarnished terribly within only a short period of time..and nothing I did removed the tarnish. Will never purchase another piece of Bronzo Italia again . And my relatives in Italy consider it to be over-priced cheap costume jewelry.

I can't speak to the Bronzo that is plated with silver or gold, but I can speak to the rose bronzo. I own too many pieces to count, and have them stored in various places. Not one piece has tarnished, turned or changed color from its beautiful rose tone. I have experienced rose clad wearing off on another brand of jewelry that I own, though.

I have 2 pieces of bronzo: a bracelet and a necklace. The bracelet still looks good but the necklace is currently sitting in my bag to go to Goodwill and I don't even know if anyone would want it. The gold on it is just peeling off and I did not even wear it very much. I will not order any more. Very disappointed.

That comment is insulting. I most definitely have relatives in Italy. No one in my mother's family (with the exception of my mother) ever left Italy. So I still have many relatives there. And I personally saw what Italian woman wear and what is sold in the jewelry stores while I was there in September. In fact, i bought several pieces for myself and as gifts to bring back to the USA.
