Yes - I knew about the change but the name ""Evine Live"" boggles my mind - what that heck does that even mean? I think the name ""Shop HQ"" was cute. But what do I know?

Very strange name. The first thing I thought was it's somehow related to Kathy Levine.

The website is now evine.com. It's a strange name. I doubt it'll stick.

I agree. The name is stupid. Shop HQ was a much more catchy moniker...

We've had threads about this for months. It is Evine, because it's linked to Kathy LeVINE. Everyone hates the logo and the name change. It looks pretty cheesy. It was a hostile takeover. Shop's previous management got the boot and the folks that won were the on EVINE team.

BTW, I hate the name, the tacky logo and Kathy Levine's Hot Flashes. (Yikes!)

Moreover, I was just reading their FAQ's about the name change and all they kept repeating was the same mantra about what they plan to offer. There was never any real explanation about the change of name or why they picked the name they did...

Well don't anticipate an answer... That was one of the questions they generated so they could theoretically generate an answer. They didn't. All they seem to want to do is pontificate about how new and different they are... At the end of the day, I've come to like HQ better and better, but home shopping is home shopping and I don't see any of them doing much that's innovative anymore... Moreover, it appears one of the 'big' changes is 'brands you don't see anywhere else', which, to me, translates into house brands... Been there, done that... Still, it is another alternative, so I'm more than willing to see where they go with it all...

I'm sure not going to be happy if they do away with the brands I currently purchase for some new 'house' brands. Here's hoping that Skinn, One World, and the Three Amigos stick around!

A lot of people are thinking the same thing! They can't get rid of vendor immediately. There are contracts. So far, all I have seen is Deadliest Catch, Pam McCoy and costume jewelry by Lisa V. Gems of Distinction is coming.

It's possible that they keep the Three Amigos, because of the volume of product they sell. Chuck is the 'house brand' for shop/evines jewelry. I don't know about Paul Deasy and Michael V. sells worldwide. However, he sometimes creates product for U.S. customers. It maybe that they create new lines for them.

Time will only tell.

I received the e-mail today...I thought it was going to start as Evine on Valentines Day....apparently I am wrong....no matter...I don't shop there much....and I don't have it on my cable...

I will say that I hate the new name...

Everybody seems to dislike the new name... You have to wonder if they did any market research whatsoever or if, taking a page from the Q's playbook, they just arrogantly decided it was the name they wanted...

I don't think it has a thing in the world to do with Kathy Levine. I think it's supposed to conjure up images of a vine and the 'e' relates back to all the electronic options... Any way you slice it, it's weak.

They claim the same shopping options will exist and one has to assume they will, unless they don't sell... You'd think any brand they currently offer that is performing well will be kept...

Think that these 3 best sellers are not going anywhere, Dimitri has been dropped by 2 shopping channels, Paul Deasy left channel and think he might have been dropped Q and One World is big seller on Shop .

Kathy Levine is either an investor or owner. When they first debuted the horrible logo, I noticed that it had a 2012 copyright. So they had the idea awhile and looked for an opportunity.

I know people adore her, but if the best she can come up with is "Hot Flashes" for her little spots, good grief.

It's coming from New York now too - the great thing about Mpls was I didn't have to pay sales tax - darn!! - Anyhow - the 3 amigo's, Michael, etc will all be there - they are top sellers!!

I don't think it has a thing to do with Kathy Levine either. As much as I dislike Evine Live, I hope it's sticks a little longer than ShopHQ. Once again in less than two years, they are changing their name and also their credit cards. The last time they did that, my credit score took a hit because the replacement card was shown as a new card and additional credit. Even though I contacted all three of the credit bureaus, only one "got it".

I'm pretty sure all three amigos, Stefano, SKINN, Isomers, One World, Suzanne Somers, Kate & Mallory, and Invicta are not going anywhere.

I don't know why Kathy Levine doesn't just quietly fade into the sunset and enjoy her life instead of endlessly trying to get back into the limelight. She's had her day in the sun.
