I was finally going to get Shawn's Hear My Heart Speak ring for a granddaughter's birthday this spring. I'd been putting it off until after Christmas because it was $89 plus tax and shipping.

I couldn't believe my eyes today when I saw that it is now $99. Sorry, QVC, you lost a sale!

I had a hard time making up my mind to pay $89. It isn't actually the $10, it's the principal of the thing. It just seems greedy to me.

Before Christmas every time Shawn would present her ring, she would specifically say the ring will be going up in price and the featured price would go away after the holidays. So Shawn as well as QVC gave you notice. On description page, it even said the date of when Featured Price and EZ pays would expire.

I own this ring. LOVE IT!!! I would never worry about $10 if it's something I really wanted. Shawn's ring is well worth the $99 and up for it!! You are really missing out by not getting it and disappointing yourself; QVC couldn't care less about the principle of the matter.

I bet your granddaughter really would adore Shawn's ring. It's such a well made quality chuck of silver with such a heartwarming quote. To think my grandmother wouldn't want to spend another $10 on me for a special piece is kinda disheartening to even think about.

I own this ring and wear it daily. If you do buy it, buy it proudly for her....and know you are buying a piece for life. It is a heavy, heavy piece. Yes, it needs to be in your budget, but, she warned the price would be going up, and it is on easy pay, if that helps to not do it,all at one time. Your granddaughter would love it, I promise you that. I got the ring for a personal reason, and when I think of that particular thing, I twist it around my finger and it sure makes me feel better...now, if my grandmother had given me this special ring, I cant even describe to you how special that is, and you can't put a price tag on that.

Since Lisa Robertson left a lot of things went up in price, probably to make up for what she was paid.

I have noticed QVC raising prices on jewelry which have been in their inventory for a long time--makes no sense.

The silver version of this clad ring used to be $36.00 (it was on my wishlist), now these are over $100!

Why on earth should anyone buy something for a shopping channel host? Buy it because YOU need it or want it or have a use for it.

In my youth I might've been 'moved' by this sort of inscription. At this point, it simply doesn't mean a lot to me, and I agree, there was no reason to raise the price. Besides, this is hardly a new piece. As for Lisa's leaving, the Q is greedy, the whole crew of them could leave and we still wouldn't see reduced shipping or prices... And frankly, given repetition is rampant, they might as well set a few of them free and go to videotape... As a promotion, they could hold a lottery and one lucky customer gets to decide who they send packing. That's one I'd like to win...

I have this ring, too.....and its truly heavy but lovely...I get compliments about it...I am sure your granddaughter would love to have it...and its on e-z pay making it easier to order and decide if you and she likes it.....and if not....your only out the first payment....

Putting the price increase into perspective....my cable company has raised their prices over twenty one dollars since September.....no, I didn't add anything to cause this increase...it just happens....to everything with all companies....new year...new you.....lol....

Exactly the opposite, if true. It would be because of lost sales revenues. She was a big moneymaker for the Q.

I ordered this ring in a size four to wear on my ring finger. It was a little snug so I sent back for a five. It was too big. I was sad I had to return. It's a beautiful ring.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I've been out of town since two weeks before Christmas so hadn't seen or heard Shawn warn of the price increase on this ring.

I know prices go up, never down unless on clearance, and I certainly don't expect this piece to be on clearance for a while, considering it's popularity.

I know my granddaughter would love it, not necessarily for the inscription, but because of the style of the ring. I'm considering it again.

As I stated, it's not the money, and I don't do easy pay, so I probably will go ahead and get it for her. Will make her happy and will make me happy giving it to her.
