I watched the show and noticed that a couple of times Lisa referred to the Elizabeth Taylor Foundation, and Tim interjected "AIDS foundation." For all the respect and admiration Lisa claimed to have for ET, that was an important distinction that she should have known.

I thought the vendor was terrible and really didn't sell the jewelry. When Phil did Jackie Kennedy he had pictures for all the jewelry and fabulous history behind it all. He was excellent. This guy didn't do any of that. He was nervous but lisa looked quite uncomfortable with him. Then he said something stupid about the big ring being a pinky ring and lisa gave him a very weird look. I honestly doubt this collection will not last it's too evening. In fact the item that sold out the most was the bangles and they were one of the few not black tie evening jewelry.

I'm watching the first hour that I missed last night on QVC Plus this AM and really like this guy. I did miss the first few items again so didn't hear his introduction but he was with her for many years and I'm enjoying hearing his firsthand stories. I did listen to many of Philip's stories and enjoyed the history of the pieces but prefer firsthand impressions that Tim is giving. I think Lisa had a nice rapport with him and can't imagine how she remained so calm and professional with this being her last night leaving a job of 20 yrs. I would be a basket case so can totally understand some repetitive phrases but she did share a lot of her own knowledge gleaned from her love of the book and she kept the show on track and flowing smoothly. I'm not a fan of costume jewelry but can appreciate the workmanship in making some of these intricate pieces and am happy they used simulated rubies.

He did tell the story behind the Krupp Diamond, that it had belonged to a German woman, and Liz was dying to get her hands on it, she wanted it to end up on the hand of a Jewish girl. I had heard Liz herself tell the same back story on this piece years ago on the Rosie O'Donnell talk show.

I enjoyed the show. The man stated up front he was very nervous, so hope he learns and improves as he goes on. I could tell he was knowledgeable but was having a little trouble getting the stories out. Had to be difficult for him knowing that was Lisa's last day. I just wish they would have actually showed the book and flipped through and pointed out some of the photos. I'd like to see MBR work with him.

I saw a good portion of the show and my impressions were that he's a very nice man but by his own admission very nervous. It seemed to me Lisa was very gracious in trying her best to help him along and make him feel more relaxed and comfortable. Having said that, after awhile I was wishing I had a dollar for every time she said 'beautiful beautiful', more than I've ever heard her repeat that before which is saying something. I got so uncomfortable with his nervousness and her repetitiveness which I think was made worse by her struggle to get him through the show that I had to stop watching because I was feeling sorry for both of them. But I think it was a combination of her trying so hard with him plus it being her last show that I give her kudos for getting through her time with him as well as she did.

I blame the producers for that one. It's their job to prepare the guest host, and he clearly had no such preparation and was uncomfortable - Lisa even had to tell him that it was ok for him to expand on the stories, and after she told him that, he relaxed a bit. Phillip is a historian, but Timothy was actually part of Liz's history for 20 years. I was watching hoping to hear more. Sometimes when you are a part of something you don't think that the details are that important, but it's the details we want to hear. The producers should have let him know that, but clearly didn't. Lisa tried to draw things out of him as best she could, but she was dealing with her own understandable set of nerves. They need to revamp the entire presentation. I don't think they wanted to copy Phillip's example, so unfortunately, they clearly didn't provide any guidance at all.

Poor guy had a baptism by fire.

His first live TV presentation was during a big night, with as much focus on the host as his products and there were a lot of extra people just yards away making noise.

I think a little stage fright is forgivable. That's a lot of extra pressure. This was not the usual relatively cozy and relaxed (for a studio) setting.

He was a nice guy and told some interesting stories about Liz Taylor, but he was very awkward and made some embarrassing gaffes. I rolled my eyes along with Lisa when he suggested that one of the big, honking rings could be used as a "pinky ring" (oh, of course).......and then he pointed out several times that the Krupp diamond look-alike would have to be cleaned thoroughly and often or it would "look awful". Nice. There were some other awkward exchanges. He just wasn't up for endless on-camera patter.
