topic QVC sterling - is it real? in Jewelry

I recently purchased J153733 sterling silver bracelet and J153732 sterling silver necklace.

I have experience in metalsmithing in sterling silver and gold, and also have an extensive collection of sterling pieces. This is my first sterling purchase from QVC.

These two pieces are very attractive in design, but something seems off about the metal. It is very white in color, not cool to the touch, and sort of has a "plastic" feel to it. When compared to my other sterling bracelets, it just looks fake.

Others who have experience with QVC sterling silver: is there something odd about their fabrication? I am thinking of taking the pieces to a jeweler for an expert opinion, but meanwhile wanted to ask this forum.

Yes, I see the .925 stamp, but something just seems different with these.
