How Yellow is the Veronese Line?

I prefer the color of 14k gold.....not tooooo yellow. This line comes across very yellow on TV.

If you own it.....what is your opinion on the color?

It's 18K clad, so it's a deeper yellow.

And it is absolutely stunning! Was going to order a necklace from Vicenza last night but when it stated that those pieces are ""plated"" I decided against it.

Clad is a heavier application than plating and also a different process to achieve it. What I learned online was that I would prefer ""clad"" to ""plating"" when/if the choice is to be made.

Real is always the best but when we want to look elsewhere it's nice to know what is out there and how to determine what is best for each of us.

I have one Veronese necklace that I purchased last summer on clearance and it is lovely! You would never know it is not 18k thru and thru. So very well made and the design is beautiful.

Hope this helps you to decide. Veronese will use real gemstones too.

I own many pieces of Veronese and I wear them a lot. I have had pieces for a few years and they don't peal or chip, they are still like new. The color is definitely a more yellow tone like 18K. It's very pretty jewelry.

I have a few pieces and must admit that I think it is a fake looking gold.... And much more in the 18 k color, not 14 k.

I have several pieces and while it is a tad more yellow, I wear it with all my "real" gold jewelry and I love it. It has lasted for years and looks as good now as it did when I bought it. I think they said they had been selling Veronese for 13 years? That's when I bought my first piece.

I never bought it, but I used to work with a woman who bought just about everything from both major shopping networks. She, of course, bought some of this and, while it didn't look as brassy as the hsn version (yup, she also bought some of that!), the main thing that jumped out at me is that it looks like something that was dipped in something else. You know what I mean? It was very obvious that it was 'coated' and not just one alloyed metal, such as 14k or 18k gold, on its own.

It never appealed to me and also she, and others I've since seen remark online over the years, complained of it tarnishing. I'd rather put that money toward something that is gold, 14k or 18k - either way. It looks nicer and it will last forever. I don't begrudge others their choices, but those be the facts.

I prefer Technibond from HSN, which is 14K over sterling.

I ordered the earrings in Antoinella's Jewelry Box with the turquoise cabochons. I hope the yellow gold part of the hoops does not look fake. Now I am worried, because they aren't cheap. It is just so hard to tell from the broadcasts and even the web llive broadcast and videos, when available. Now I am wondering if I should cancel my order. I have a lot of 18K and 14K pieces. I have a beautiful, Italian drum charm, which has pearl and 18K drumsticks and is large, gorgeous, solid 18K. It has extremely detailed elements and has turquoise cabochons surrounding the sides of it. I took it off my charm bracelet and planned to wear it as a pendant on a long 18K chain and these earrings, but if the earrings look garish, I will be so disappointed.

I bought it when it first was presented. Back then it was very yellow and did not resemble any 18K Italian gold I'd ever seen.

I have a few pieces from some years ago but also sent some back. It appears that they vary in their ""gold"" intensity from one piece to another. Some are brassier and others spot on. Hope you love the earrings. I consider it costume jewelry and the pieces I have had held up great.

I prefer the pale yellow of 14k, although I prefer the white metals ..... the 18k jewelry looks cheap ..... like BRASS.

It depends on what you get. I have a beautiful turquoise bracelet J-285173 and the gold is spot on. It's a beautiful bracelet. Looks very expensive. Yet, I've had some older pieces over the years that do have a more "buttery" look to them. I think the mostly gold pieces (that are just the gold color) look more yellow than ones that have gemstones or other design elements to break up the look.

You may not be happy with the color of it. I have a piece from years ago. I don't wear it often because it doesn't match my 14K. They may have improved things now. Just seems over priced for what it is, and the fact it's hard to wear with other jewelry.

I've never tried the line and found an ankle bracelet on Ebay for just $13.99 (regular $40). A good way to try the line and it will be far away from any other pieces to compare, so if it does seem extra yellow it won't stand out too much (I hope).

I own a bangle bracelet from the Veronese line. I wear it with my real 14Kt bangles. You cannot tell the difference.
