Is it just me...

I find Bronzo Italia cheap and odd looking. As a guy who enjoys jewelry and also buys it for his nieces, I would never think to buy it for anyone in my family. To me silver looks better than bronze, and I am not a huge silver fan. Just curious, what others think.

I agree completely. QVC is obviously making a mint off of this Bronzo line of jewelry. It's probably ridiculously cheap to manufacture (and looks it!). I think it appeals to people who want the look & can't afford it or can't justify the price of "real". (same w/ the resin junk)QVC realizes that gold prices are high and don't appeal to the "average" QVC customer (remember, these are the people buying D&C, etc.,). They can also "push" these pieces by slapping a GILI label on them since Lisa maniacs will flock to purchase. It's not about offering quality, it's about the old mighty buck. Would not purchase for myself or for gifts. Would rather buy one $500 gold bangle than numerous Bronzo, spinel (YUCK) or resin pieces.

I don't want anything that is going to tarnish like bronze does. I also don't care for the color of bronze but that is me. Unfortunately I can't wear silver but I do like stainless steel since gold has gone so high which would be my preference, gold.

It seems he signs on with a maker of jewelry that can deliver a large amount for a certain price. This is like a mass offering of one line and puts people like Kirks Folly, Suarti and Lee Sands out of business. This is the new normal for QVC with the present management in my OP.

I have not purchased any Bronzo or Resin, Silicone, Electroform Oro. I have read too many reviews of disappointed customers.

I have a friend from Italy. She laughs at how Q talked about bronzo and resin filled. She said that's costume jewelry in Italy.

I'm not a fan. When they first released pieces of the Bronzo line, I tried a few items and wear almost none of them, especially the rings. Almost every one of them ended up looking clunky rather than substantial. I'm no longer even remotely interested in Bronzo, no matter how relentlessly they inundate us with this essentially costume jewelry line.

Get over people. Bronzo is a huge success and it isn't going anywere for a very, very long time. If you don't care for it, that's fine. Don't buy it. But stop that whining and complaining. It's unbecoming! LOL

Sure, they're free to sell it, and I'm free to indicate I don't care for it, overall. The point being made by some is that a little variety would go a long way. All Bronzo all the time is not 'fine Italian jewelry'.

I don't agree with the statement Luv made at all about it being for people who don't have the money for the real thing. Many of us do have that money but like myself, I much prefer the costume jewelry to the high-end, designer jewelry. I mean no insult at all to anyone by saying this but I think the expensive gold, designer label items are mainly purchased by pretentious new money rich, who like to show off labels or maybe older people, who are of a different generation than mine, who still prefer the "real" thing. My mom was that generation and she had many expensive, 18K, gem-rich pieces. I keep them insured, in a vault but my preference is fun, different, pretty costume pieces that I can wear, have fun with and then when I tire of it, I donate it and move on. Many of the items QVC, LC and on occasion, Shop are just the thing for that and they have a large selection that really isn't outrageously priced.

I've also purchased a few pieces for my niece in the bronzo and she loved them. They suit her lifestyle and she likes fun, fashionable and trendy things.

You can bash all you like. I love bronzo. I love that the Italians are such brilliant metallurgists that they can invent a new alloy and create stunning pieces of jewelry. None of my pieces have tarnished.
