Has anyone ever bought anything from them? My friend visited one of their stores while taking her son on a college visit and came home with a beautiful Zuni bracelet. Here is the website. I have to check this out more!

Just looked at their site some. Of course everything I gravitated to was around $800.00 or so! I guess I'll just try to visit one of their stores sometime!

Hi beach-mom, thank you for sharing! Beautiful pieces!!! Haven't had a chance to really take a good look. My sister and BIL are visiting from Germany and I took them to the American Indian museum in DC. I love that place - the story is told from the Native American Point of view. We should be happy that Carolyn is bringing us Native American designers at affordable prices relatively speaking. The gift shop's offering at the Smithsonian was PRICEY to say the least! We bought some small beaded work in our price range - lol.

I have actually purchased from Fire and Ice before -- I had some time to kill when I was traveling to Arizona, and they had a store in the airport (I think I was at BWI). They had some really nice things, and were having a sale at the time. I picked up a pair of opal stud earrings - can't remember how much I paid for them, but they are beautiful.

Next time you have a chance, you should head over to the Department of the Interior...they have a Native American Indian craft store on the first floor of the building, open to the public. It is a wonderful place for all sorts of things...and often the same artists who are at the Museum show their product here...and it's usually a lot less expensive! They also run sales and have trunk shows. It is a true gem of a place. My husband and I collect Native American pottery, basketry, textiles and of course I collect jewelry. I have a particular affinity for Zuni pieces. Anyway, give it a try next time you are in DC.
