topic Dragonfly Review in Jewelry

It's Christmas at my house today as all my dragonfly pieces arrived. I wasn't as wowed as I thought I'd be. The bracelet is beautiful but runs very large. I got the average for my 7" wrist and it was shifting all over the place. I was able to squeeze it in a little bit. If you have a tiny wrist, this probably isn't for you. It's a "dressy" piece; not so much jeans and tee sort of jewelry.

The ring is smaller than I'd like and doesn't have much presence. It's a very dainty piece. I've experimented and decided I like it best as a pinkie ring. It's very pretty but I'd prefer big and bold.

The necklace is 18" and not adjustable except to make it smaller. I'd like an additional 2" so I could adjust it to other necklines. I'm thinking maybe I could take it over to the factory and have some more chain added. It's very pretty.

Strangely the pieces I like best were ordered as an afterthought, the butterfly pendant (J282967) and marching beads. The beads are a jewel as they will go with so many other pendants. They would look smashing with the big SB naja pendant (which I don't have) or and turquoise or green varicite. The back of the butterfly is almost as pretty as the front.

Congrats on all your new goodies, Kachina! Could you try using an extender chain on the necklace? I think those beads (and your butterfly) are beautiful and agree . . they'll go with so much!

Congratulations on the Butterfly and all the other lovelies - - I have that in my Wish List - Didn't buy anything but still love to watch!! Am really working on organizing and think it has cured me (fingers crossed) of my obsession - after 2 solid weeks - working 4-5 hours a day I am really seeing some results - discovering so many things and getting things ready to start selling off some of it - finding out I have duplicates of some - so crazy - it has really been a revelation - sure wish I had some of the money back - LOL --I'm sure when I start selling it will be hard to part with some of it -- I will start with the non-CP jewelry - and go from there -- looking forward to seeing the AW show - see if I can get buy without ordering - that will be the real test!! Have a great weekend sisters!!

Jugsie, I also got the extender idea and discovered I had the perfect one in a bunch I got on eBay from a guy in Hong Kong.

CL, good heavens! CP is at least a part-time job for you and you don't even get a paycheck. I need to do what you're doing. I have boxes of jewelry (not CP) which I haven't even opened in at least 3 years, a lot of Jay King and other silver. I have a small fortune in watches from my watch obsession days...wish I had some of that money back because they weren't cheap watches. Are you going to sell on eBay? I have about a thousand "buys" but never sold anything. I have a friend who's made a lot of money buying at garage sales then reselling on eBay. She's said she'll help me.
