The JR Co has a repair place and they have done work for a friend and she was very pleased. Go to www.judithripka.com and call and inquire. Also, one of the ladies here may have the name and info so you can contact the repair company directly. They will tell you if it can be repaired and how much it will be. Also, regardless of when you purchased it, if you go to your online order status and if you can still print out a return label you can return it for credit on your CC. Good luck.

I'm so upset...I was out last night attending a show, and when I was applauding with the audience, the JR cuff I was wearing flew off...in two pieces! I found them on the floor when the show was over, and it did not break at the hinge...the actual sterling broke in two! I have no idea if it can be soldered or repaired, and the Q doesn't carry it anymore. For JR prices, I don't think this should have happened. I'm very disappointed--it was one of my favs. Any ideas?

Sterling, like any metal, can suffer cracks from stress or "fatigue". This is far more likely to happen if a piece has been bent or squeezed. A repair would depend on the item, however, piecing the metal together will create a weak spot (it won't restore it to the original structure). If I may ask, which bracelet was it? You might find a Ripkanista on the Delphi forum who wants to sell one...which honestly might be a better option than repair if the bracelet cracked in to two pieces.

ETA: I am not suggesting that you bent or squeezed...I'm just saying that it is unlikely you will be satisfied with that kind of repair. I would also suggest you reach out to Q's customer service and tell them what happened. It might have been a flaw in the production of the piece that caused the crack. I would give that a try first. Best of luck to you!!

I have never had sterling silver break period. I would be highly suspicious of the alloy or the workmanship. All the Ripkanistas will rip me but this does not speak highly of the very pricey jewelry that is branded Judith Ripka.

I received my first JR cuff for Christmas. It is a hinged cuff. The bracelet has fallen off my wrist several times. Once in a restaurant where I didn't realize it had fallen off until I got home.

For those that have these cuffs, how do you make sure they are secure on your arm?

It was well past 30 days so QVC said sorry.(it broke the second time I wore the earrings) Someone here suggested I check with CS at JR's website. They told me they did not deal with QVC items.
