Shawn's Ring

I don't know if other posts have been written about this, but I would like your opinion on Shawn's ring. I read the reviews and one of them said that they could not find the 925 mark on the ring even though it is supposed to be sterling silver. I love the sentiment for very personal reasons and would like to purchase it, but I want to learn if others think it's worth the price, etc.

I am no expert on jewelry, but if I wore silver I'd buy one. I like it because of its size. It takes alot of room on the finger.

I do not have the ring--it's just too large for my finger size--but I thought long and hard about buying it because I do love the sentiment and the idea of having an inspirational ring. I finally decided to get a different ring--not one with any writing on it--just one that I would wear always and attach my own meaning to. I just thought I'd mention this in case you decide not to go with Shawn's exact ring.

Mine has the 925 mark, right above where it says MILOR ITALY.

This is currently my favorite ring to wear. It is thick, weighty bold and doesn't look dainty. I love that it is a simple design, no fancy design about it. It looks good if your style is elegant or funky. Best of all its very shiny.

Thanks ladies. Lwaxana your post was very informative. Looks pretty on your hand. My husband was a Police Officer who died in the line of duty. We always said it was love at first sight for us. And as Shawn explained the last time she showed the ring, Hear my soul speak is only part of a Shakespearian qoute that in full reads " Hear my soul speak. The very moment that I saw you, did I fly to your service." You all have helped me to make the decision to get this ring. I think it may become my signature ring and I will always think of my beloved husband when I look at it. Go Shawn and thanks for sharing!

My husband bought me this collection for my birthday last year and I love each piece. I wear them together and sometimes apart. I have the ring, cuff and pendant. Love them.

I have it also. As others stated, it's worth every penny and more. Weighty, marked .925. Purchased my regular size, didn't have to size up. I consider it one of the smartest purchases of my jewelry collection.

You are right, the meaning behind the quote is romantic in nature, though the host who sells it turns it into a religious meaning. In Shakespeare's play, The Tempest, Ferdinand is carrying wood when Miranda offers to help him. Even though, she is perfectly able- he doesn't want her to. He loves her and wants to serve her.

Police officers and those who serve our county are great men. I'm certain your husband was a great man who served you in many ways and I'm truly sorry for your loss. If you get this ring, I hope it brings you much joy.

I had the ring here.....but the 10 was too tight...I wanted to wear it on my second finger...I wish she would make it in 11 and 12....I would purchase again....well worth the money...

I have it, love it, wear it every day. Hubs bought the ring for me as a replacement for a ring that slid off my finger while snorkeling last summer. I fell in love with it instantly. So much so that I came back and purchased another size to fit a different finger. This ring is worth every cent and then some! I'd like to mention that I don't have small fingers....size 10 on my middle finger and 9 on my ring finger, both on my right hand, yet they look stunning. People comment on the ring regularly! I also now have the pendant which I wear occasionally but not every day. I can only imagine that the cuff is just as wonderful, I just don't happen to be comfortable in cuff bracelets. I have been contemplating a second pendant, however, to remove from the chain and add to my charm bracelet as I think it is weighty enough to handle the abuse.

I feel the same way and would buy one IF I wore silver.

I agree. If it came in gold or in a gold-tone I would buy one, but I'd never wear it in silver and I think it's the type of ring you'd want to wear often.

I have one from the first round of production. (They say the rings now are not as heavy.)

Just wanted to mention, I sized up. I know they say to order your true size because they have allowed for the thickness when they sized the rings. However, my usual size 6 did not fit. The seven is a bit big sometimes, but after I've had it on a while it seems to be ok.

Circles, I was going to order this ring, but I didn't think it would fit me. I want to wear it on my middle finger, and I wear a size 10 on that finger and sometimes an 11 especially if the ring has a wide band such as this. My fingers also tend to swell sometimes. I did send an e-mail QVC asking them to consider making it in sizes 11 and 12. They did replay and said they would pass it on to the appropriate person. So may I suggest that you also send them a request for the 11 and 12. Anyone else reading this that needs a larger size please send an e-mail to QVC with the request. Maybe if they get enough requests they will make it in the larger sizes.
