I enjoyed the silver shows yesterday. It reminded me of old silver shows,although prices were higher, but there were some very affordable things. I wish I could buy more, but it's not such a priority for me as it used to be before I retired. I don't understand why so many people continue to bash everything QVC does and say that nothing in the shows was interesting. I much prefer these shows to all the designer shows when everything is very expensive and the silver isn't the feature, but bronzo, leather, etc. are focused on instead.

Too many people want the old QVC, but I imagine you were griping then also. This is not the 90's anymore, and yet you want designers at low prices, low shipping, and we're not going back to those days. My suggestion is that if you have no interest in QVC shopping, then go somewhere else to shop. I can't believe someone suggested that people boycott QVC jewelry to make a point that you don't approve of their choices. That is so self indulgent and ridiculous.

Maggi, I agree with you. I enjoyed the silver shows as well. We can't go back to a time when precious metals were cheap, so I admire QVC for being as creative as they are while keeping the cost of their offerings fairly low. They are a business, after all, and not being profitable is doomsday for any company. I know I'd really miss the Q if it weren't on anymore. There were many bold and attractive pieces yesterday and a nice variety too. Give them a break!

I enjoyed the shows, too. I didn't order anything, but the absolutely best part? The prices are good for a couple of days!

So, I really like the strategy of moving the big day, and finishing on the 1st.

I enjoyed the shows up until we were subjected to continual airings of the same items. They showed that Ecclise watch almost every hour! With such a vast inventory of jewelry, most of which is silver, why do we have to be bored with continual airings of the same items over and over?

To the poster: how long have you been a QVC member? So many of us go way back to the very early 90's when the shows had really nice gemstones. There is no reason why QVC can't have gemstones again. So go ahead and defend QVC for their crummy programming, I for one know better.

I go back to the days when CVN and then QVC bought them or they merged. I wish QVC would take the chance and offer a good selection of jewelry across the spectrum in weight and price. I'd be a buyer if there was something to entice me. I wasn't watching non-stop but I saw that Ecclesi watch FIVE times. Why? QVC has a huge inventory. Why not demonstrate it, put out some sales and sell us some jewelry?

Unless you actually work for QVC, you can't know why they offer or don't offer a particular product.

You seem to make the assumption that the only options are silver a la the stuff shown yesterday, pricey 'designer' silver, Bronzo or leather, but QVC used to offer very nice gemstone jewelry which would still be affordable... I think we all get that gold is limited because of it's price but there are options... I didn't tend to 'gripe' when the jewelry offered by QVC was diverse and the shows weren't all considered 'special events', primarily because they're on so infrequently these days. As for any proposed 'boycott', no one had to enjoin me not to shop to send a message. I simply didn't see anything that interested me and I certainly don't buy what I don't want... If that sends them a message, well, that's just icing on the cake.

I agree, any jewelry is better than what has become QVC's 'norm', but it's also unfortunate that all these 'special events' seem destined to almost always be shown when working folk can't watch or shop. For us, they reserve the dregs for the mind-numbingly tedious weekend programming.

I honestly wonder about that, because I don't see anything nice in stores, either.

Yesterday, QVC had blue topaz and amethyst pieces. I would have liked to see more turquoise. And whatever happened to citrine?

I ordered the new Or Paz scroll necklace and an 18"" spiga chain. Wish more silver had been on sale or had easy pay offers. The rest of the pieces I saw didn't really thrill me. The confetti pieces reminded me of Lia Sophia's Panorama collection.

First I agree that the shows had nice jewelry and a lot of variety in types of bangles with even a byzantine bangle that I think is a great idea. But I also agree that I would prefer more jewelry with gemstones since that's my thing. Other than that I'm not really sure what everyone would want to see in silver?? There were a lot of classics that I already have but not everyone has been collecting for 15+ yrs. I really love the CP TSV bangle - that is a solid piece with great design elements and mine has the lapis doublets - gorgeous stones. That was something different for sure.
