Anyone Have HSN Absolute Earrings?

I just received a pair of gorgeous Daniel K Absolute Princess cut stud earrings - but I have just one problem. The posts are really thick, and they actually hurt putting them in! I don't know if this is just the Daniel K or if it's all the Absolute. Ouch! I'm seriously debating whether or not to return them.

I don't have them from HSN, but have gotten a pr. locally with the same issue (can't wear them but they were cheap). I don't know why some companies are putting such thick posts on - I can't wear them either. I'd assume the entire lot is the same, so exchanging for another pr. won't help. Stainless earrings especially seem to do this. I'd return them if you have tried to wear them and they hurt - it won't improve, you'll just irritate your piercings.

I have a pair of Daniel K. Absolute, not studs but they have posts. Also HSN Absolute studs and Victoria Wieck Absolute dangle with posts. None of them are too thick. They're all sterling.

I used to only shop at HSN since that is the channel my cable provider allowed. It's the same as DMQ with different settings. I did find something last night I am really interested in purchasing and I don't wear silver. Perhaps today I will indulge.

I had a pair like this and my jeweler thinned out the wires for me. They were Angela John Hardy. I really liked them or I wouldn't have bothered. Its about a $35.00 minimum charge around here to have anything done.

I researched online, and obviously many higher end studs do have thicker posts. Your ears, they say, will adjust to the thicker posts. My problem is, will I still be able to wear my studs with thinner posts without them drooping in my lobes.

Thanks for your input. I am going to return them because all my other earrings have standard sized posts, and I figure if I would wore the Absolute every once in a while, I would end up with the same problem. I tried wearing them yesterday for about an hour. They hurt putting them in, they hurt taking them out and they were so sore I couldn't wear anything for the rest of the day.
