question about waitlist

do I have to go through the checkout process if I want to be on the waitlist for a sold out item? When I clicked that I'd like the item sent to me if it becomes available, it took me to check out. Thanks.

Of course you have to go through the check out process for waitlist orders. How would QVC know where to send the item to or bill you if you do not go through the process??

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding the question, I'm confused over the original post. Sorry.

You don't pay for it till it's sent, they just put your name down to send to U when it becomes available. I'm on wait list right now for a Linea item. They give it 45 days if don't come in by then ,then, they you your order is cancelled.

Yes, you do. If you don't buy it then they won't send it when or if it becomes available. They don't offer just a 'waiting list'. After piddling around all day on the fence about the TSV, I went on WL for it late last night and checking out is part of their WL process.

You have to go through checkout because the items ships as soon as it's available.

Maybe the OP is thinking of ShopHQ; you can sign up to get an email if an item becomes available, and then you can decide if you want to buy it. QVC's waitlist is more definite.

ok thanks. I clicked that I wanted it on wait list but never "checked out" so it's not showing up as being on wait list in my account. It's too late now to get the bracelet at the gold rush price so I'll have to forget it - it wasn't a great deal ppg but it was a pretty bracelet.

Good to know for next time. I'll watch for the bracelet in August during the Klondike GR. I think that's on a Sunday so I can watch all day! In the meantime, there's one I've got my eye on at the bay so maybe that's the one that was meant to be mine. heehee

Oh, I never order online I always order on the phone. I like to talk to a human that's when they tell me "you will not be charged for the item until it is shipped".
