topic Anyone else think Judith Ripka's QVC collection is an Over saturated market? in Jewelry

I use to watch Judith on QVC few times a year. I would pick one piece out each time. I look forward to her next show which was usually 3 to 4 months apart. However, the past 2 years it seems she is on every other week. I use to love her pieces but now there are so many items and some look the same old same. I decided to sell it all on Ebay and took at a loss. Then I went to her Madison Avenue store saw the real beauties & bought a few couture cuff pieces. Some were a little more than the mass produced QVC collection. At least now I know the pieces I purchased there will hold some of their value in the future.

Judith is a nice person I met her in NY at her shop but what she does there is unique and special. Her QVC collection is not even close to the real thing and i am afraid by selling so much on the Q she is destroying her brand.

Clearly Ripka has been on a lot lately due to shortened Christmas season. I like her jewelry. When I want something new, i shop her line. Whether professional or dressy ocassions, i usually end up with her pieces. I suspect now that Christmas is over she may be on less. Ripka has won every award there is to win- maybe now she is interested in selling to the masses.

On 10/9/2013 Pagan said: But QVC don't care about the individual vendors. They are just cash cows. They don't care if Ripka sullies her brand long term, they just want to flog that horse until its dead. Then she'll be relegated to the wee hours with increasing amounts of her stuff on clearance before being quietly dropped from the schedules. Then QVC will court their new cash cows relentlessly. All these over-saturated brands, Ripka, Wen, Dooney etc, are just having their moment but only while they can still pull in the orders. There's no loyalty involved.

how honest, Pagan, and lo and behold! your reply has been printed! very well said and on the money -- a well placed pun, if i do have to say so myself!

lately, if i write a negative testimonial here and there, they are not printed---which may be because my writing it too powerfully persuasive : ) so i will rewrite it here: the emjoi eRaser epilator was a misrepresented presentation, the Graham & Rollins crabcakes was missing the crabmeant,a nd the Denim&Co jacket was cheaply made. there i said it!
