topic All of my Ripka is gone... except in Jewelry

for what I was wearing on Monday. My home was broken into while I was at work. They took the entire JR jewelry box ( including the box), which was on a closet shelf, that housed all of my JR, and the jewelry from another box that was on my dresser, that had other silver and gold items-- and that was full of treasures as well. I am still in shock. They took most, but not all of my jewelry,as I had some in other containers/boxes elsewhere, but all of my JR except for what I was wearing, is gone. One of my first thoughts after seeing they took the entire JR box was that I wished I had layered on the Ripka that day. What I did have on me, was the silver pearlized silicone watch, the ice cube tennis bracelet, "THE" cuff in silver, the B.O. monaco ring, and for earrings, some from a long time ago, that are rope braided 1/2 inch hoops, with a square DMQ dangle that's removable.

Thank you for listening. My DH knows how much I love my jewelry, and I think he may have an idea of what I am going through-- but I know that you do, and it helps.

I have one quick side story to share. Apparently a couple items didn't make it into the pillow sacks ( yes, they took 2 of our pillow cases to carry the loot), from them emptying the other jewelry box's drawers. On the carpet I found a small guardian angel charm that my older sister brought back from Rome 1 year ago, which is for my now 7-yo. I am so glad that the angel found it's way to our floor. I told my DD that her guardian angel was meant to stay with her. Another item that they left behind, was a wood beaded bracelet with a silver dangle that reads "miracles". I feel this was meant for me because it reminds me of all the wonderful blessings I have in my life, and that I will recover.

Now, for one sad side story. I did not immediately realize all that they had taken, until the fingerprint guy left and we were able to clean and go through stuff. From my nightstand, they took the small cedar box with my beloved Bubba's ashes. I can't adequately describe how I feel about that.

Again, thank you for letting me share this with you. I will continue to enjoy my jewelry every day, no matter how many pieces I have.
