I only went in to have sterling clasps added to some necklaces I bought for gifts. They are for 3 kids I know and they just would not have fit over their heads. The necklaces are sort of tribal inspired pendants on black cord and the cords are just too short.

Anyhoo...you can't let me loose inside a shop full of colorful and sparkly things. I had a little look and before you can say glitter ball I was ringing up $30 in beads and stretch beading elastic.

Had to go to Hobby Lobby where I found more beads in gorgeous colors and cuts and styles.

I had a lot of fun being a bit creative and made myself two sets of 4 stretch bracelets. I love stretch bracelets and it was great to be able to make exactly what I love.

One set is in various shades of midnight blues, greys and grey arouraborealis. The beads are different shapes and cuts, some very faceted and sparkly. Wore that set out to dinner last night with a black dress.

And the other set is more casual with bone, amber colored beads and some faceted turquoise beads for accents.

What fun!!! I'm not the most crafty person but I do enjoy playing with shapes and colors. The stretch elastic (1mm) is an awesome material.

Anybody else here make their own stuff?

catlvr
