I am so excited to see HRH Prince Dimitri present a collection in diamonique! I love his high jewelry collections. He is always so gracious and charming. Love his stories about his family. Highly recommended his book if you aren’t familiar with his history with gems and jewelry design. Can’t wait for the launch!

It sounds like a collection I would like. I'm tired of and bored with the same old gaudy Diamonique line. I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

@Sig214. Never heard of a Prince Dimitri. In what country is he a prince? His family must not be doing well if he must resort to selling Diamonique to earn a living.

@Kachina624 Tempted as I am to make a snarky comment about Eurotrash selling tv trash, I did check out the NYT article and I admit I am a bit impressed. He is a real jewelry designer, admittedly of high-end pieces. I would not at all mind owning this one:

I think some people who are comfortable don't need to follow the money, but rather follow their passion and need for an artistic outlet.

Well......... think it will be interesting, to at least watch---altho that photo is beautiful, definitely not my taste in jewelry. I kind of wonder why someone so "regal" would design in cubic zirconia for the masses. A step up or down--am not sure. Will it be in silver-- with gold over it or in gold only. Will he be presenting it or someone else---so many questions!!

@Kachina624 @Desertdi And then there's the Borghese clan; they certainly monetize those titles even though Italy (still a country!) had the good sense to ditch their monarchy.

One of their "princes" was on a dating show, which makes designing jewelry the height of taste and sophistication in comparison.

Princess Amanda isn't nobility by blood hierarchy....the title was given to BIG religious donors....so it's a "church" title.

It's only bad to monetize a title when Harry does it. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine.

Not all people with titles have money, so they have to actually work ... or marry money.

Reminds me of Downton Abbey. He married an American heiress. He had the title and she had the money. It has happened a lot in real life.

You can see his ' real' jewelry online. Not for me and prices are hilarious. Over $8K for tiny earrings w/ no high end gems.

Because you can get the stone replaced if it falls out. Because of the lower cost. Some may like the designs offered. Most Diamonique on QVC from 1987 to around 2007 was set in solid 14K Gold. Tens of thousands of people bought Kathy's Ring in 14K Gold; maybe you should ask one of them.

Oh no, why did I read this thread? 😹. I had never heard of Prince Dimitri, so of course I had to check out his jewelry. I want this bracelet! It looks similar to a Jes Maharry bracelet I have with a lapis stone. 😻. Can't wait to see what he brings here!
