BOLD JEWELRY BACK IN STYLE?

I'm seeing larger metal earrings and chunky necklaces for fall/winter.

I've been wearing smaller scaled jewelry during the summer but still have some large pieces like my Tiffiny Lima Bean earrings (Elsa Peretti) and her large signature cuff. It feels funny wearing these, but I always liked the look.

Many copies of these larger designer pieces are on Amazon, too.

What do you think about this style?

I have noticed some YouTubers saying that bolder pieces of jewelry will be back in style this fall too.

I also have several pieces of bolder necklaces and I have always worn bigger earrings like large hoops, etc. I never got very large & bold pieces because I felt they didn't look right on my smaller frame but they are definitely bigger than the delicate pieces that I have been wearing.

I'm not a bold jewelry wearer. Some pieces look nice on others but it's not my style.

Generally the boldest thing I wear is my earrings and even then, most would not consider them bold.

I love seeing beautiful pieces on others, it often makes the outfit. I am boring with jewelry, I usually wear the same pieces daily whether at home or out for the day. (I'm either a creature of habit, lazy or boring....LOL)

@Caaareful ShopperI didn't either. I wear what I like whether it's "in" style or not. I wear what looks good with what I am wearing. I love a good chunky necklace with some styles.

I like bolder pieces and wear them. I have never considered whether they are in style or not. I have tried smaller scale and more delicate items, but they always seem to get lost, between hair, clothing etc. More importantly, bolder pieces of jewelry suits my style much better.

I hope mismatched earrings will finally go out of style. I always wonder if anyone buys two pair of mismatched to get a pair of matching earrings.

Wear what you like. For me depends on what style of clothes that I am wearing whether I wear bold or delicate jewelry styles. However, some really bold necklaces to me tend to look like dog chains on petite women.

I have both bold jewelry and smaller ones. I switch them depending on what outfit I'm wearing.

As to what is suppose to be in style, one can't take that seriously. Some will say bold is back, yet another article says that wearing bold jewelry is outdated and makes one look older. It's best to not believe anyone and wear what you like.

I like chunkier stuff--not for earrings but a good statement necklace, rocks my world. Now not a Wilma Flintstone kind or Mr T type chains---but something that shows up and is noticed. Never have worn enormous earrings tho--my lobes are still as they were when I got them pierced--a hundred years ago. I have lots of strands of pearls, have many strands of gem bead necklaces, alot of bigger pendants too.

@Kachina624 Wow, all that beautiful turquoise! I'm kinda dainty and prissy, but I love bold jewelry. I might try something similar to that look. It would help cover up the hideous veins on my arms.

I have always operated seasonally, saving my bolder pieces for the cooler months simply because they can be hot to wear. Along a similar line, I tend to wear bright shiny silver in the summer, and oxidized silver in the other seasons.

My particular way of dressing in simple, classic, not fussy with very few patterns, lends itself to a bolder choice of jewelry. I enjoy seeing delicate pieces on others but for myself, I choose statement pieces to offset/complement my clothing style. I stick with what works for me and do not follow trends. The one caveat is that I choose one statement piece, two at the most and keep my other pieces more understated.

I have been thinking about this idea ever since you first posted it!

Here is my favorite pair of earrings:

These are the only earrings that I have ever truly enjoyed wearing.

The Diamonique stone hangs down past my ear lobes and for some reason accent my facial features in a good way!

When she presented I remember being so impressed because she had these on with a casual green jacket. My "thing" is attempting to appear "elegantly casual"...AND I TRY LOL

Looked up your beautiful Tiffany Lima Bean earrings...they are so gorgeous ...I bet you look fsbulous in them!

I usually end up not caring for the way I look in many Southwestern pieces...there is a heaviness to them that I cannot pull off.
