New Jai Brand Ambassador, Again

I don't remember the name of the woman that immediately took over for Scott Grimes after he left Jai Jewelry. But she appears to be gone.

Leah introduced a new woman today as the Jai Brand Ambassador.

I think today's brand rep is named Angela.

Not sure if they will both appear on air from time to time, as I think they work together behind the scenes with Jai.

The word on Facebook is that she was not appropriately dressed tonight. One poster said she looked like she was going to the club. (Maybe Josie can hire her).

So is Shani gone?

I wish Angela the absolute best in her new position. I had also wished the same for Shani. The goal of any vendor is to sell product, and whomever is able to do that will be successful as the new Jai rep.

So many here and apparently on FB, too, are so judgmental and hypercritical about every single aspect of the hosts and the vendors, from their hairstyles, to their nails, to their clothing, to their personalities, to their selling methods, to the timber/excitement/enthusiasm level in their voice, etc. How can any one person, host or vendor, satisfy every single potential customer? I don't think it's possible.

I do think it would be very damaging psychologically for anyone here on this forum to be subjected to the extreme level of scrutiny constantly directed at QVC hosts and vendors. QVC hosts and vendors are human beings with feelings, just like everyone else. If we all deserve respect as human beings, they do, too.

I think both brand reps do a fine job and bring a wealth of jewelry expertise. They are very different in their delivery and style, but they each exhibit a lot of knowledge about the brand.

They apparently support and work together behind the scenes at Jai for a while now. They may actually tag-team the on-air duties.

Shani isn't gone. These two women are the reps for this brand and we'll doubtless be seeing plenty of both of them.

I like both of them. They do come off as just sales people who could be selling literally anything, which is a shame after Scott. He seemed to have more of a passion and involvement for the actual product itself. This pair could be just as easily be selling floor cleaner.

Perhaps it's because you don't yet get the sense of them having designed anything themselves and if they did, someone else would be doing the real work. Whereas with Scott, rightly or wrongly, you got the feeling he was also rolling up his sleeves.

Of course, they probably haven't had a chance to do much yet. With the lead time involved, I would guess that most of the designs they're showing now would have been created during Scott's time, even if he was in the process of withdrawing.

They clearly are after a young market but i doubt this is the way to go.

Oh please! If they want my money they need to know what keeps me tuned in. Sweaters, Jackets and Oxfords did it for me. This doesn't.

What happened to the choices in Sterling Silver jewelry? Every piece that is shown on a "Jai Jewelry" show is a Statement piece. What happend to Diamonique or regular sterlimg silver jewelry. Not everyone likes the sterling silver that has been artificially tarnished. I would like to see more of the more normal type of sterling silver that is bright and shiny, more pendants, bright shiny bracelets and charms. Jai Jewelry is okay if you like that sort of sterling silver but I can't use it to replace a bracelet or chain that was lost. Can we get back to jewelry for the masses, the regular people too? Not everyone need or wants a "Statement" piece or big bulky sterling silver chain or bracelets. What has happended to the things that made QVC the go to online shopping sight for jewelry that was affordable and was easy to get for Ms. Joe Blow. How soon corporate America forgets the people that made them great. Greedy Greedy Greedy. SMH

I watched Mary Beth introduce Jill Bauer as the new brand ambassador for Jai. Really? Just how many products is she an expert in. I really liked the little brunette who replaced Shani. Why do they need to bring Jill back.
