What Do You Do With Jewelry Pouches?

I have a lot of the pouches/bags with a drawstring at the top in which pieces of jewelry were shipped. Many from American West as well as others. I have several different sizes. I like to keep my jewelry stored in Wolfe non-tarnish jewelry boxes so the bags are just piled up in a drawer. Any ideas of ways to "recycle" and use these pouches?

I have thought about putting them on eBay.

I use these to hold misc. parts of jewelry. (earring backs, charms, watch batteries. They're great for spare keys or lipsticks/gloss in your purse. Those spare parts you get with appliances, tools,etc.

I use them to keep small things in my purse together instead of having them rattle around at the bottom, especially if the purse doesn't have many pockets inside. I'll put things in the pouch like chapstick, foldable reading glasses, altoids, gum, spare lipstick.

When I collected Judith Ripka years ago, I had drawers of small green boxes and pouches. I've notice that my fine jewelry/watches boxes sell on Ebay at a premium.....empty boxes! Priorities have changed...I rarely purchase anymore. I have released most of the boxes with gifting jewelry.

I throw them out. If left sitting around, they become filthy.

The floral silky ones with loop/knot closure that come with Honora i keep with the Honora pearl bracelets or necklaces laid in a decorative box. Other silky type I use to keep a bangle or a gemstone bracelet and lay them separately in decorative boxes

IMost other pouches and boxes go into the trash.

The see through net bags ( e.g. from Chico's ) I reuse when I give a gift of my jewelry. The bags are all sizes...if only a large size is available, I will wrap the piece in a scarf and tuck it in whatever is available.

For the velvet / suede ones: I use these to hold the car fobs to DH's cars and my car. I suspend them from one side of my shoulder bag. If he loses one or needs to leave one with the car service desk, I have one readily available.

I also use one to store Pennie's; another, nickels; dimes; etc. until ready to cash them in. One diner loves to get change so I pay in coins.

@ahoymate Yes, seriously as I was thinking that some jewelry sellers might be able to use them as they were used originally: to mail jewelry to a purchaser since these are new and I only removed the piece of jewelry and put the bag away. Not trying to make money here.

I'll see if a local Thrift store can use them to protect pieces of jewelry they sell instead of wrapping in newspaper and donate them. Anyway, I would like to find a "recycled" use for them instead of just tossing them. That's why I am asking.

This sounds a bit silly, but when the kids were young and losing teeth, we would put the tooth in the pouch and under the pillow. Then, the tooth fairy would come and leave some money in the same pouch and back under the pillow.

I just "priced" them........they go for around 25¢. I doubt a "thrift" would bother with something like that.....

i use to keep the boxes. Vanna K on JtV items come in cute little blue boxes with bows. Yes they are cute but I throw them out now lol. I have watched hoarders and they are always saving something to use later lol.

I just threw a bunch out yesterday--keep thinking I will use them but never do---same with the tiny boxes the jewelry comes in--
