Hi all, for some reason US gold buyers is not responding to my request. Is there an alternate place that is reputable and has good prices for gold. TIA

I have had great luck at my local jeweler. He has always been fair and if I use the credit to purchase something new from him it's even better.

Go to 2 or 3 jewelers in your area to see who will give you the best price. Unless you weigh the jewelry beforehand and know what you are dealing with I would never sell the jewelry where I was not standing there and watching the gold being weighed.

Actually I don’t know why US gold buyers don’t respond to me as I’ve applied twice by email and called twice

I just sold some yesterday at a local jewelers and was surprised how much I got. Granted it was nowhere near what I paid for the items originally but I figured why have this jewelry sitting in a box and never wear it, so I decided to sell it. I was pleased with what I got for my items. I sold 5 rings, and a couple of tennis bracelets that are to big and just fall off and aren't worth paying to shorten them up.

It was to my understanding that US gold buyers was the best in terms of being the most generous.

@Allthingsgirly67 have you tried going to pawn shops to sell gold? They tend to give cash for gold and the one that I go to is very trustworthy and is the oldest continually operated pawn shop in the continental USA. I love shopping at a pawn shop because I can get one of a kind antique gold and gemstone jewelry at a very great price.

I just used Goldfellow this week, second time I used them. They are also Florida based and have given me fair prices and quick payment. They received my package Friday, I had an offer Saturday morning, and the check has been sent. Very nice woman named Mary has been there for years and is easy to reach.

I found a local coin collector's store that buys gold and pays much better than U.S. Gold Buyers and other places in the metro area.

I finally found out when I for the fifth time contacting them that they are asking for gram weight. Last time I used them they did not request gram weight which I thought ironic as I know when I sent a ring I had no idea of gram weight. They said they needed it for insurance purposes.
