topic Review of the 2 multi-gemstones chains: pink/purple & blue/green - also in Reviews thread in Jewelry

I just received the 18" chains in the pink/purple colors & also in the blue/green colors that go w/ the multi-gemstone heart enhancers. Both of these chains were on clearance. Although I am easily pleased & don't find fault w/ 99% of what I buy, I returned the blue/green chain today. This is only the third Ripka item I have ever returned because of not liking it. It's really not that I didn't like it, but more that I didn't like it for the money - even the clearance price of $254 ($279+ w/ shipping & tax). It just looked so insignificant for the money: thin chain, small but nice stones, & the 2 sapphire cabs are so high on the chain that if your hair is even a little long, they get lost. The chain does nothing really for the heart enhancer. You can get the same effect w/ the green goddess station chain if you have it, & that chain was not even close to $279. The blue/green heart enhancer actually looked better w/ the pearl TSV chain doubled or on the navy magnetic cord. My comments are the same for the pink/purple chain, but I did keep it because 1) the price was so much lower, 2) it also goes w/ the RQ & amethyst heart enhancer, & 3) it looks really good layered w/ the 18" amethyst & blue topaz cabochon chain. Somehow the two chains together are more substantial, more impactful, & more colorful - all nice soft pastels.
