As a glass artist, I would love to see QVC support the glass bead artist in their jewelry show line-up.

I don't see anything these days and wonder why.

Ireland is known for their glass, but I don't recall seeing any on the recent St. Patrick's day shows.

There are a lot of American-made glass artists that would love for QVC to concentrate on our contribution to jewelry style.

My favorite kind is dichroic glass. I have a pendant and some matching earrings. Bought them at a local arts/crafts show here many years ago. People always ask me about the pieces. They are beautiful.

Most artists would probably be unable to supply QVC with the large quantities and consistency it would require.

I bought a pair of Mt St Helens glass earrings after that event, probably around 1983-ish-----they are green like chrome diopside and about a 10 mm round in sterling silver. I do wear them ----haven't seen much glass jewelry except some roman glass things and then some at local places mostly at arts/craft fairs.

I think it's about quantity. An artisan would not be able to supply the vast amount of pieces that QVC needs.

I have a pair of Fenton glass earings I bought from Q many years ago. Every time I've worn them I get compliants, even from strangers.

I have bought quite a few pairs of glass earrings in Italy's pavilion in Epcot.

I bought a pair of mosaic earrings that were beautiful. The tiny glass pieces were in the shape of flowers. Sadly, I lost one earring. I have never been able to find anything like it. And I have looked for years.

It's said that the formulation for Dichroic coating was invented for NASA.

I wish I visited Italy!

The Italy Pavilion in Epcot is in Walt Disney World. I have to visit it every time I go to Walt Disney WOrld because they have such nice glass jewelry.
