thinking of purching peridot earring in white gold one pair is .60 carets total weight at 193.80. Item # J376976 the other is 146.96 1.10 total .Item # J344011 . Did I mis read? what am I missing. Shouldn't the higher total weight cost more?

Dont know what to do.

ALSO can anyone tell me how and why you are to make a responsible purchase of a gemstone when tryig to compair particulary earrings, and some are described in caret weight and others by millimeters? Also i think QVC should offer both weight and millimeters when it comes to smaller gems. Thanks for any help.

Peridot comes in different grades.

The dimensions of any particular stone is helpful but the depth of a gem is often omitted. Depth can give a stone more or less saturation of color.

I notice that both item descriptions give the stone size in inches. So do the math if you want to convert to mm. I like to see the inches measurement and I convert to mm if I want to know that. Easy to find the info you need on google to convert from inches to mm.
