Cancer bracelets

Looked at some this morning on line and there's some beautiful ones out there. That may come down the road for me. Right now, it would leave me in tears too much, so I wonder if anyone here, wears a bracelet or some other form of jewelry for members passed. My 2 family members, both gone to cancer. There's ribbons, but also Pintrest had some beautiful bracelets to see. May think of those in time.

Do you wear anything in memory of a loved one who is gone now?

I wear the ring my father bought for my mother when they were dating. They were only 16 and it is 10k gold with a black onyx stone. I have a picture of her wearing it.

They are both gone now and I think of them every time I look at it on my hand. 💕💕💕

I sometimes wear my mothers engagement ring, but I also wear my husbands wedding ring on a chain. the only time it comes off is when i am in the shower or in the pool.

Yes I wear an Alzheimer's bracelet both as a tribute to my wonderful late Mom and to raise awareness. There are sites where purchasing such items includes a donation.

My mother left me her cocktail ring with diamonds and two sapphires. I was with her when she bought it for her birthday. She just loved diamonds and worked hard to save money to buy her jewelry.

She bought my dad a pinky ring with three diamonds which I bought later from his estate.

I had my jeweler friend take the stones apart from both rings and made into one ring which I wear all the time :

My sister died of Leukemia when she was 47. 28 years ago. Other than if I will be at home all day -- I have worn her Movado watch every day since.

@qualitygal That's very touching and I'm sure comforting to you.

I sometimes wear my Mom's silver bangle added to mine and sometimes my Dad's 2 watches. I have both their gold wedding rings (bands) that I used to wear on a rope chain, but it got in the way. I may put a large jump ring around them and add them to my charm bracelet.

I know Nancy Hornbeck wore a JAI bracelet with pink stoned charm as a cancer survivor. She always said she never took it off.

Your ring is lovely, and a beautiful memory.

I wear a ring with Sapphires (my birthstone) and a center Aquamarine (Dad’s birthstone). We are both still here, but the thought is similar.

I have my mom's pearl necklace and wear it sometimes in memory of her. She passed away 9 years ago from lung cancer. I also had a set of 3 My Saint My Hero pink rope bracelets that me, my sister and my daughter wore through my breast cancer treatment and we still wear them often now.

I am widowed twice. I had my diamond engagement ring and my late first husband's wedding ring made into a pendant.

I wear my late second husband's wedding ring on a long chain, at his request. He was afraid he would be forgotten (as if!).

My engagement ring from my second marriage was my late mother-in-law's ring, designed by my late father-in-law for her from two rings that were his mother's. So, a lot of history in my engagement ring. Still wear my wedding rings as I have no intention of getting married for a third time.

My second husband died of leukemia and I was his caregiver. Having to watch someone you love slowly die of a catastrophic illness is ghastly and soul crushing. My broken heart is still raw. I don't think I need to wear a leukemia bracelet, or some other such thing, to commerate my late husband. That whole experience will be with me until my dying breath.

My mom gave me both her engagement ring & a beautiful diamond cocktail ring several years before she became ill & passed.She said she wanted to see me enjoy them while she was still here.I alternate wearing one of them every day. That's how I keep her close to me.Forever in my heart.

I had my mother's engagement diamond made into a pendant.

I wear it often to honor the memory of her.
