Woo hoo and a million thanks for the info! You just made my day. Just hoping it's not too heavy on opaque stones, but I'll take it. Looks like Peyton will be back with the vault discoveries show, too. A little sparkle goes a long way.

Summer 2020 Gem Day is 25 days later than it was last year.
Where is QVC's Graduate Gemologist, Nancy Hornback?
Where is original Gem Day program host Mary Beth Roe?
The traditional gift for a 30th Anniversary is pearls. Where is Honora Pearl Jewelry?
This is QVC's 41st gemstone jewelry event since Gem Day premiered in September 1990.
Rick last kicked-off Gem Day in July 2016. Jane hosted 12am-3am on almost every Gem Day since 2005.
Alberti last hosted Gem Day in 2016. Pat last hosted Gem Day in 2018. Courtney previously hosted Gem Day in the late night in 2018, now she is in the evening. This is Julia Cearley's first jewelry event.
This will be the first time that Jane and Rick (or any hosts) have co-hosted the Gem Day finale.

Change is inevitable: in taste of jewelry, in jewelry even being desirable to many, in what people will be willing to spend, in hosts, in everything. But at least Gem Day will continue and there's always a sparkler or two to tempt.

With COVID, there have to be so many issues, from gem sourcing, jewelry design, manufacture, etc. I'm surprised they could pull it off!

One of the changes to last Summer Gem Day's schedule was to add in Nancy Hornback as host and an hour of Honora Jewelry. I hope they do the same this year (I don't understand why there is a new program host in the evening).

I hope Q brings in some 14k and real gems that are in the mid-price range. No new morganite. They currently have a lot of high priced items but few mid priced.

@CalminHeart I love morganite too. I remember one of the first full hours of morganite showed many years ago when Lisa Robertson was still there & hosting. I was lucky enough to buy a beautiful pair of earrings & a pendant then that I still treasure today.

Jennifer just stated that Generations Gems by Matthew Foutz has a Today's Special Value in July, and as Gem Day is the only July jewelry event, the Gem Day TSV will be a sterling opaque gemstone piece, which is expected, as QVC usually has an exotic gemstone piece in gold as the February Gem Day TSV and an opaque or semi-precious gemstone piece in silver as the July Gem Day TSV.

They're getting cheaper and lazier with the on-air promo spots. Four slides? No voice-over? Usually the final shot is reserved for the TSV but I don't know about this time, the Generation Gems Blue Lace Agate Pendant is already available, J-364407.

Don't despair--there's always gems set in gold, usually the Vault Discoveries shows. The Q does volume sales and in this economic climate, silver is more affordable than gold for most people.

By the way, I still have my eye on those UltraFine silver san marco bracelets. Yum.
