@Shanus Thanks for the head's up. I'll look online for the Honora pieces that day as I cannot tolerate watching Q. I feel more commute time shopping coming on. Squeals of glee.

In the 25 years i have watched the Q, I dont think I have ever been impressed with their gem selections. SHQ has always had them beat by a mile, and then some, especially in years gone by. Q has mostly very small stones for high prices.

QVC will probably like the other shopping channel (exception Gem shopping Network) They'll be semi precious gems set in silver with white topaz instead of diamonds. The precious stones will also be set in silver, alone with out any accents. There will be gold layering and some with platinum layering. Pearls will be fresh water instead of salt water from Oysters. You see one shopping network, you've see them all. They pretty much offer the same. The gems should be cheap. They are only expensive when they come with diamonds and set in solid gold or platinum. So they should be affordable. You should be excited about it.

I agree about metal many of these gems are set in. There is a moonstone show scheduled on Gen Day so was looking at the selection and one pair of blue moonstone earrings $600+ are set in sterling. I would expect at that price white gold. The moonstone looks nice but don’t know anything about how rare they are.

I like to watch the Vault Discoveries show. I never buy anything but I love to see some unique gems in gold. Q has a separate category listed for this collection.

@SilleeMee I agree with you! The Vault Discovery show is always one of my favorites. I like to see unique or rare finds.

Truthfully I enjoy gem day in general even if I'm not buying.

It will be affordable then gold day prices. Most gems (even the precious ones) are fairly cheap without gold content and diamonds. Once you remove that by adding silver and topaz to masquerading as diamonds, you should have a good buying day.

Gem sopping is costly all the time because they have all gems (including the lowely amethyst or quartz) because they are dripping in diamonds and set in either 14K, 18K or platinum. One you add them, they will skyrocket in price.

An example is J365751 18K gold bracelet. But sadly semiprecious junk gems. It's over the $1,000.00 mark. You would have thought they would have them instead.
