I have had a time with shepherd's hook er's. Some stoppers are less soft and harder to get on. I bent one hook and I know they can't take much pressure. Do you have a preference? On amazon I see rubber or silicone.

I've used the ones from Walmart.....plastic, I guess. They harden with age. Have to change them out pretty often.

@ECBG So cute for photo op, but hope doesn't have to wear that outfit for too long. Those are the saddest (although most gorgeous) eyes I've ever seen.

@ECBG Seiously? What are you trying to attach to the pups abd where? There do make rubber stoppers that I always recommend for sensitive humans. Thought he/she was a Weimaraner, no. Never seen a lab w/ those eyes!

I've bent an er shepard post because of one of those er safty backs. I 've since found there are two materials they're made of

. Rubber or silicone. Wondering which material, if any is easire to slide on since some of by backs are a bear to use.

@ECBG Yep. I'd say I was thoroughly confused. Same answer, though. If you're referring to the shepherd hook findings on earrings, rubber stoppers are my preference. They don't slide all the way up to the back of the ear...sure way to bend or break hook. They rather slide on only until the wire begins to bend so if the earring starts to fall forward, the rubber stopper keeps the hook from going all the way through the ear...loss of earring. Am I un-confused now or confused you instead? Lol

@ECBG , those tiny silicone ones work well if you twirl them first on the stem to work them in and make their holes easier to slide up.

@Justice4all Depending of quality of silicone ones, sometimes you can heat them a tiny bit w/ hair dryer to make them more pliable, too.
