Watched the presentation at Midnight. It had been prerecorded. He was not a happy person. I was ashamed for him.

@Group 5 minus 1 Why was he not a happy person?? Why were you ashamed for him? Just curious how you came to that conclusion watching the show. I did not watch the show you are commenting on, but, have seen him many times over the years on QVC.

I should have used the word "embrassed". His body language was uncomfortable almost angry at the host. He also was not attentive.

Didn’t watch his show, but I really don’t follow him since he has switched to the current metals. I used to love his sterling silver pieces and own many nice pieces. I would love to see home return to his original content. Silver is not really that expensive and I follow the designers that use it here. Their prices are not much higher and I feel that I am at least purchasing something that will last forever. I love his style!

I wonder why/how he got demoted to bronze. As someone who likes modern jewelry I used to enjoy his silver shows. I'm not buying bronze.

He has a few sterling pieces online. I have several of the old sterling pieces of his...they're still stunning and wear like iron.

@faeriemoon. Didn't he sell his company? It was probably the buyer's idea. I think his offerings are overpriced for what they are. I also don't think he is personally designing what he is selling.

The last time Robert Lee Morris was on was for his Big Deal -- those "motif" necklaces. There was a major snafu with one of the choices, the Peace sign necklace, and it received some bad reviews because of it.

I wonder if his earlier appearance was just dusting off that embarassment/frustration.

By the way, if you do want RLM jewelry in bronze, Zulily sometimes has some of his gorgeous designs for fantastic prices. I bought several items of his from there, since I do like sterling over bronze [as well as all sterling]. There, his bronze pieces and their prices are much more in line with what you're getting.

You can see RLM's beautiful sterling pieces at Nieman Marcus. They have hefty price tags, but are lovely.

@Seashell girl Bronze is considered by jewelers to be a “noble metal” ie: not base metal. Silver prices are much higher than bronze and since RLM pieces are usually much larger and architectural, these pieces done in silver would be cost prohibitive.

Silver jewelry on Q that’s affordable are usually pieces where silver is only used on rings and stones added to complete the ring, beads which are hollow or bracelets.

Compaired w/ lines like Jai, smaller bracelets, cuffs, earrings in silver could be more affordable. If Jai did pieces as large as RLM, in sterling silver, the prices would be out of sight. For example, most cast Jai enhancers are in the $250 range in sterling silver and smaller than RLM bronze pendants. Few bronze pieces are priced that high.

@faeriemoon He was not demoted to bronze. He still makes jewelry in silver at much higher prices for clothing designers. His jewelry in silver (mostly larger in size) would be & was too expensive to sell well on Q. BTW, bronze has the same shine as silver w/o tarnishing.

I imagine he gets somewhat disappointed with the lower number of sales when he thinks back to the heyday for jewelry sales at the Q. As to the bronze, at first I was a little disappointed when he switched from sterling to bronze, but I LOVE the white bronze pieces!!!! They have an incredible shine and are so much easier to store and take care, and you sure can't tell the difference from expensive sterling silver. Give it a try. I am totally hooked on RLM white bronze. The gold over bronze is fine too, but the white is truly STUNNING!!!

@just wonder I agree. I’m a white metal gal. What I don’t make myself in silver, I enjoy the white bronze or Sebaag who uses silver, but electroform process, to achieve a large presence with less weight and not the expense of solid silver for the size.

I have seen him act pretty grumpy. It's been a few years ago. I don't remember who the host was, but it was uncomfortable to watch. Although we all have bad days, while at work there is no excuse for that.

I watched the show when they presented the Big Deal and Robert seemed happy - much happier than he has been in a while. I thought the midnight show was just a rebroadcast of the Big Deal presentation. In general, Robert was much more animated and happier talking about his pieces this visit than he has been in recent memory. It was good to see him be so positive.

I have a lot of his silver pieces and a few of his bronze. I like the warmth of the silver, but the bronze is growing on me. The white bronze is brighter and whiter than silver, and it is very appealing in some pieces. But I feel that the silver pieces mold to the body a bit better.

Catch8 and Shanus, thank you for the white bronze recommendation. I rarely watch him anymore because they won't let him sell silver. They meaning QVC, I would think. I just assumed white bronze would tarnish like the bronze color bronze he used to use. Remember the multi color woven bracelet that I think was a TSV? Those poor reviews turned me off of his bronze and copper completely.
