Honora Pearl Question

Has anyone noticed an absence of the very reasonably priced Honora pearl necklaces? I just realized that I needed a small pearl necklace, about 20" and nothing very expensive. Not a rice pearl, but not a large pearl either. Honora used to have them all the time, but I just checked and didn't see any in the size or price that I wanted.

I hope they aren't being phased out.

I agree. Also they had stretch rings for those with arthritis in fingers and no longer have them available. I have 4 or 5 of these rings and they have held up wonderful. I would love for Honora to bring them back.

Imperial Pearls over at HSN has a $10,000 Tahitian pearl necklace and there's only ONE left!!! (Sorry, just yanking your chain - and they really do carry this necklace.)

@Georgiagrama: Type in "Shell Pearls" in search bar on EBay and you should find plenty of very nice, very inexpensive necklaces that are individually knotted. Back when I owned several Mikimoto strands I would wear these for everyday (couldn't tell the difference). Shell pearls have a bead nucleus dipped in ground up pearl material.

Thank you, I will look. With Honora on QVC for years, with every size pearl imaginable, who knew they would not be available any more. I just wanted a small pair for everyday use. Nothing glamorous or expensive, but not costume either.

I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I did find a lovely small pair of pearls on Etsy. They are listed as "Bridal Pearls" and you can purchase them in different lengths. They really are lovely little freshwater pearls that won't bother me when I wear them.

Have you checked JTV dot com? They have an extensive pearl collection and I have been pleased with all of my purchases.

If you are checking ebay do a Honora search there. Lots of their items (over 3000) at great prices. That's where I buy my Honora now.

@Shogirl I agree with you about JTV. The designs are much more interesting, too. Honora used to bring some unique looking pieces to QVC but not in the past several years. IMO the jewelry from Honora is just boring these days. I speak from my own point of view because I have a collection of earrings and necklaces that I enjoy and wear -- before they went to only selling the same old look each visit.

Seems that once Honora sold out all the originality went with the sale.

What bothers me is those pearls dyed in glaring colors. Come on, there are NO bright red cherry, or brilliant turquoise, or deep brown pearls occuring in nature.

If they're offering dyed pearls, they should say so.

The Honora pearls on Q are lower level quality. Honora sells better pearls at other retailers. Also check out PearlParadise online.
