FRINGED EARRINGS

I’ve noticed over the last month, many hosts/vendors are wearing similar fringe earrings (many seem to be red) or huge, down to the shoulder earrings.

They’re not my style. What do you think?

Yes, I'v seen them on hosts and models. QVC must have bought a boatload of them....for reasons I cannot understand.

Locally, I have never seen anyone wear them, and the stores have them on the clearance rack. I think it is hard for an average person, wearing average clothes, to carry them off. IMO, they are too "showy".

@Shanus Any kind of large or heavy earring would drive me nuts. My preference is a 1 or 1-1/2 inch leverback.

I'm not a fan of the tassel earrings either and find them a distraction.

Any accessory that takes away from the person wearing them isn't a fashion do.

My thought is if a person insists on wearing big fluffy tassel earrings, they might

consider wearing a graduation cap to tie it all together.

I don't think they really belong on earlobes...or any other body part for that matter.

When I see a woman wearing them, burlesque comes to mind.

I don't like them. I have never liked big earrings, but I don't like the tassel style in particular.

Don't care for them, at all. Maybe people who think they're stylish don't realize that they are old timey drapery holders.

I thought it would be fun to actually make some seed bead fringe earrings. I found a video on line, bought some seed beads and actually made some. I think they will be fun summer earrings.

The fringe or drapery tassel earring trend seems to be more appropriate to the young, hip Bohemian-type (definitely not me) than the conservative, traditionalist "mature" woman--that would be me.

The very young enjoy trends.

I like tassels YSL has the earrings in fabric chinoiserie style. The are red and not heavy.

I prefer them in necklaces , my favorites are the Turkish designed after their tulips🌷

They might be okay if they were a little smaller.
