Shivan from HSN new Q gem buyer?

Last night, Jane T. kept crediting "Shivan, the new gem buyer," for all the unusual new gemstones on the Q, such as blue zircon, moonstone and alexandrite. Could this be the former show host from HSN named Shivan? She was always one of my favorites and had a wealth of knowledge about colored gemstones. (I cannot remember her last name!)

@MarnieRez3 Her last name is Sarna. I haven't been watching either channel very much lately, so I hadn't realized she was gone from HSN. It's hard to keep track of these mobile show hosts, but I did like her.

Shivan is still a host. You can go to HSN and see the host schedule when you click on their name.

She'll be on Sunday night with Jay King and on the schedule all next week with home and kitchen type shows.

QVC has an apparel senior buyer, Siobain (pronounced just as Jane Treacy said it) Ryan, for years and years. Carolyn Gracie always says she's her best friend. I don't know if she has ventured into also being the gold buyer or not. Could be a different person.

The Sioban that Jane refers to, I believe, is the one that has worked on QVC for years. They have been referring to her for years. I pretty sure it's not the one from HSN.

If I am not mistaken the Shivan spelling is the one from HSN.

@Caaareful Shopper. I caught that name drop by Jane and wondered about it too. I bet they've moved Carolyn's friend to jewelry buying. How many Shivans can there be? I haven't heard Carolyn mention her for a long time
