    <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased J265696, amethyst briolette sterling earrings for my 25th anniversary party.  I can see with my 49 year old eyes that there are cracks in both stones, the whole length of the stone.  For $147 should I expect better from an amethyst?  Should I send them back?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
