Pearl Guide Ruckus 2017 Facebook live event 7/28-7/30

If you have heard of the Pearl Guide Ruckus held annually in the Los Angeles area but haven't been able to attend, this year you will be able to see the fun as it happens online.

The venue is a beautiful mansion in Beverly Hills over looking the Los Angeles area. The event will host educational talks by leading experts on varied subjects, and pearl farmers will tell us what is new at their farms.

You will see forum members shopping for pearls and have a peak inside the vault at Pearl Paradise.

If you're interested, the facebook live will be posted at Pearl Paradise's facebook page as it is happening this Friday July28th thru July 30th. The talks are Saturday 10am-2pm.

Pearl guide members will be wearing the finest things in their collections during the event and we will see Exotic pearls and new looks with pearls we have seen in the past. Also, new pearls that are just coming out into the market place.

I bought two wild Sea of Cortez pearls. One of them was in the talk Douglas McLaurin gave on his Mexican pearls. It was 7.5mm Gem+++ his grading scale and was one of the finest wild pearls he's had brought in. Fishermen found mine recently while out fishing. it matches my cherry tahitians. Cherry with green halo. The other wild pearl he had gotten before was sold to the man who has the wild mississippi pearl farm in Tennessee.

The other wild pearl looks similar, cherry with green halo and is 4mm. It's being put into a Sterling creation by Sheri Jurnecka. It will look like this only with my pearl in the octoups.

I also bought a Teal/green AAA Tahitian from Pearl Paradise. I will be sending there so to be put into a white gold diamond pendant. Its the bright teal/green in the second row left side.

Hisano's little h award winning necklace in blue sapphire and diamonds made it's appearance by it's owner. It was spectacular.

The talk of the ruckus was Hisano's big award wins this year in all the jewlery award contests she had been entered into. We got to see all the pieces at Pearl Paradise on Sunday.

There were 15 strands of Golden south Sea harvest strands. Newberry also got one of these beauties.

The owner of the farms matched the pearls on both sides of the strands. Very hard to do and time consuming.

Another new pearl that just came out was the smaller bead nucleated freshwaters. They were perfectly round and very colorful. These were 8-9.5mm, so were smaller then the Grace pearl Edison's we ususally see. On the table also were multi color and white souffle` strands. WOW!

I will add more photos next week. Kamoka pearl company featured a white tahitian strand and there are other items you need to see. Peaarls on nails and pearls on toes.

Your selections are truly one of a kind treasures. The pearls are magnificent and the settings are beautiful.

And Newberry picked a wonderful strand of south sea pearls. She has a collection, doesn't she? And this new one will be a wonderful addition.

The multicolor bead nucleated freshwater pearls are beautiful. I hope they will be offered on PP.
