Just got a new Timex. Tan blush leather. I just want to tell time, not overdo on that,so I can overdo in bracelets if I want. LOL

Hi QualityGal: Thanks for stopping by to chat. I hope you enjoy your new watch. Telling time is an important function for a watch (I'm not being sarcastic).. And sometimes, I admit, those dials can get busy and make telling time more difficult. And the older we get, and the busier we are, the harder it is to read the time at a quick glace.

And I agree, a watch is also part of your wardrobe.... depending upon the other jewelry you wear the watch can be a supporting player or the star. On different days i will choose different watches based partly on the other jewelry I want to wear. And how important it is for me to know the exact time at a glance that day.

I looked up WoW's website and it appears they are now in Brooklyn, N.Y. This must have a recent relaunch. I'll see if anyone knows anything about it. It's good to see them back.

This WoW is not the same one we knew. Timepiece.com is located in Brooklyn. They might have purchased some inventory along with the name.

They posted this info on the watch forum site back in April.

Watch of the day: Bolt Zeus with blue mosiac mother of pearl dial. I couldn't stop looking at the dial. Beautiful.

And the watch was very comfortable.

Anyone else enjoying theirs?

No watch today. Just a bare wrist! Had some cleaning to oo today and I just decided not to bother. My go-to watch these days is the abalone RD square. It is reallly pretty with the white strap.

No one seems to be buying or tracking new watches... or if they are... they are not fessing up. So, let's talk about what we already own and love.

Watch of the day....

Monday it was a SS Renato Wildebeast with a white mop dial and an orange leather croco embossed strap. Strap was an almost perfect match to my Dooney salmon twist strap hobo and Honora peach/apricot large pearl studs. The earrings were part of a set of 10mm Honora pearl studs I got quite a while ago. I still love pearls.

Today: I'm wearing a white ceramic Android automatic with a white mop dial with an open heart. My handbag of choice is a Brahmin large Duxbury in the turquoise del rio pattern (snake print with green, royal blue, and yellow). My white Honora pearl dangle earrings complete the look along with green D&C slacks and a white T.

Jena: love your watch. Glad you are enjoying your collection.

I noticed a small chip on the inner section of the lugs of my white ceramic Android. Don't know how it could have happened in that postion.... inside of wrist, inside of links. I don't remember dropping the watch or banging it on anything. Guess there was a hairline crack that finally decided to break away. It's a shame, I love the dial of that watch. But if it was going to happen, I'm glad it wasn't on one of my TM ceramics.

LJ, I'll bet that crack was there from day one. Just to slight to notice and finally gave away with the right hit.

Since I couldn't remember all the details of my watch, it was just easier to post it in a pic. Funny thing, it didn't look that good sitting in the pink Renato 10 slot box but once I got it on the wrist, I see why I bought it.

I recall back when I thought I just had to own every color of those Renato Sapphire

watches on the ally straps. Now I don't wear any of them. They were'not cheap either. ;(

Hi ladies.

I haven't been wearing a watch much lately. I'm rehabbing my garage, which meant scrubbing the cinder block walls, wire brushing them, then painting with waterproof paint. I didn't want to damage any watch, so not wearing one or any jewelry while doing that. Of course I pick July to do this, and it's hot and humid!

I'm sidelined right now. I noticed on Tuesday night that my right lower leg was red and hot. I'd had a few mosquito bites, but those were almost gone. I did bump the leg, but didn't break the skin. Of course it was 10PM and those Urgicare places were closed. I was a little concerned about waiting since it looked bad. I was fine the day before. So I went to the ER. They did tests to rule out a blood clot, and that was ok. So I got 2 antibiotics and was sent home. I'm not doing much and trying to elevate it. Today will be 2 full days of antibiotics and it's finally starting to improve.

I like seeing what everyone's WOTD is. No new purchases for me either.

Jazzy: glad the antibiotic is working. You probably needed a rest anyway, but I'm sure you just want to get your project finished.

Jena: I haven't worn my Renato sapphire collection watches on the ally straps at all this summer. And I really should. They are light weight and comfortable.

The watch in your post was an Invicta automatic, wasn't it?

Hello everybody. A very sunny day here, high humidity too. Good day to stay inside.

JAZZY, I hope you are feeling better. I know things take time but unforeseen things happen. Everyday I wonder what's going to happen today that's not planned for.

LJ, you are so right. That was another one of my Invicta automatics. Today I ventured into those scarce YT Renato pave 8 with a yellow marshmallow dial. Love it.

I took a pic of it in the sun but it knocks out the camera. Too brilliant. Remember that yellow MOP dial anyone? It wasn't advertised at that, but it was such a creamy yellow with the gold minute markers mixed in the maise. I see why I kept it. A unique piece.

Well I tried another pic. You get the idea.

Jena: I love that watch. You are right, the dial is beautfiul.

Today I wore one of the sapphire collection watches... pink ally strap, blue and pink topaz pave dial. In this heat and humidity, it was perfect.

Jazzy: hope you are doing better and the leg is back to normal.

LavJ, I thought for sure you had that YT Renato. We usually ended up buying the same things.

It's been awhile so I looked and found 10 dead watches again. Will have to make the trip in tomorrow and get that taken care of. There is one Karamica, and that gives me a guilty conscience for I know they hate working on those watches.

I guess no one bought the TSV at e the other night. With the different looking metals it was something different. But when I read the specs and its Malaysia this and Malaysia that with a mineral crystal, I lose interest. We are spoiled now.
