Lola Rose Jewelry Line -- Thoughts?

Apparently this jewelry line, Lola Rose, has been on QVC UK for a few years already. It gets it's first airing here today at 4pm(EST).

Is anyone familiar with this line?

@Caaareful Shopper I'm not familiar with Lola Rose London but I checked out the items via the search box on this site and I love the looks!! I like beads, and I especially love gemstone and natural beads (one necklace is made with seashells). Can't wait to see the items aired in just a few minutes!

I think the line is gorgeous however the gold and silver tone stations are something I will turn almost immediately so they aren't worth buying for me.

Also, they have the same "look" as Carolyn Pollack's natural bead jewelry with Sterling Stations and clasps and I have quite a lot of it from years ago. I was actually surprised at how much this line looks like a lot of other bead jewelry that's out in retail....so much so that I was surprised that this line is touted as new and different. But what do I know??

Why do I think this line used to be on HSN years ago? I thought it was a line brought in by Colleen for her silver gallery.

ETA: I just googled and yes, this line was on HSN back in 2010. I don't know how long but I found a blog by Colleen about the line. I'm pretty sure back when the line was on HSN, she did some goldstone pieces and I have a bracelet in that I love.

I just looked at the pieces on QVC.com. Some of the pieces are very similar to what was sold way back when on HSN. In fact that Reagan adjustable bracelet is the exact style of what I have but mine is done in blue goldstone.

I wasn't impressed. It was nice but a little pricey for what it is. The other shopping channels have been selling jewelry like that for 20 years and they usually do it better.

I already have more than enough bead jewelry that I never seem to wear. I liked the white stone necklace they showed; very pretty for summer.

I really liked some of it, especially the clear & opaque white stone jewelry with the rose gold-tone stations -- lovely!

But I was left a bit confused. She said some of the beads/stones were semi-precious stones. Some others were "painted" man-made stones. It was hard for me to tell the difference sometimes. But that distinction is very important to me, especially when the prices were quite high for nearly everything. Too many times I was thinking, "I could make that from the beads & stones I find at Michaels."

So now I'm looking in brick & mortar stores for similar clear & opaque stone jewelry. I really liked that look.

I bought a Lola Rose necklace on clearance from HSN. It remains one of my favorite pieces and still gets many compliments. There is something very unique and special about it. I also think QVC prices are comparable to HSN's ... just hope the quality is the same as my older piece.

@chrystaltree. Many years ago there was a male vendor who was always on the Q. I can't think of his name, but wore a flowered shirt and brought beaded jewelry, pieces made from shells and eel skin wallets, etc. That's what I thought about seeing her pieces.

He is Lee Sands and that is exactly who I thought of when I saw her jewelry! Pretty but I thought overpriced as well.

I still have a yellow bracelet of stones from Lee Sands that is very pretty and when I wear it I can feel how cool and smooth the stones are. That is a real stone.I think it is a smooth yellow quartz that is tumbled until smooth.

@on the bay. Thank God you remembered his name...would have kept me up all night!! The smooth yellow stones could be polished yellow coral if opaque. I don't think he sold gemstones.

My Lee Sands bracelet was also much less expensive. All his stuff was. I think maybe it is yellow beryl now that I think about it some more. I wish I still had the receipt , I'm curious now.I do have some of his branch coral bracelets. They are a pretty bright red/orange.The yellow are big chunks of yellow with some transparency.

He did do tumbling of mineral stones in addition to pearls and shells.

We had a lot of that at the beach.

Lots of people had their own tumblers.

So many pretty stones!

Yes, indeed. I know exactly who you are referring to. I just cannot remember his name. He was with Qvc for many years and her pieces do remind me of his.

It's pretty, but I think it's a little high too. It's been around about 20 years. Apparently the Dutchess of Cambridge likes the line, as do Sarah Jessica Parker and Halle Berry.
