I don't know why the draw to Garnet, but I just love this color now!!

I use to be a pink or plain CZ person, but lately, since my husband got me the reddish bixbite, I know just love Rhodolite, and Vermerhalo Garnet, and the Bixbite. Anything in this family feels like it will be my new passion in collecting. Love this color. The switch went off for me on this.

Do you have a favorite color now too? I mean I'm beginning to think the next will be the Chrome Diopside. What a pretty green!!

I love the Rhodolite garnet, the purplish cherry color! I also love the Kyanite from Nepal, which is best described as similiar to Kashmire sapphire blue! The chrome diopside is a beautiful shade of green, but I don't wear much green.

I love garnets! Love deep red of good quality of pyrope/ almandine, love rhodolite , love top quality tsavorites ( have very small accent stoner but perfect color).

also my favorites are Burmese rubies and piercing blue of Sleeping beauty turquoise.

My two favorite stones and color has to be tie between Mozambique garnets and London Blue Topaz. I'm crazy for garnets also. Show me a london blue stone and i'll hit the submit button every time.

For garnet fans if you go to Evine's webpage, Michael has a beautiful Princess Cut Garnet on clearance right now. I've had my eye on this one for a while. It's reduced to 157 dollars now. The item number is 153-982. Picture doesn't do it justice. Have to watch the video.

Yes! For me, it was stones in the blue family. Prior to that, I always liked white or clear stones. White or cream pearls and diamonds and Diamonique or big silver jewelry with no stones. And then about 15 years ago, my husband bought me a London Blue ring. It was a Chuck Clemency piece, an east-west set stone surrounded by white zircon pave. I loved it, still love and that opened the door to colored stones. Blue stones. All shades of blue topaz and then blue turquoise and even teal blue Honora pearls. But I never liked my birthstone (Aquamarine) until I discovered some gorgeous blue Aqua on Jtv. Blue....not wishy washy pretend you see blue. So, I added Aquamarine to my jewelry wardrobe. I made brief foray into the world of pink stones a couple of years ago, the year I bought that blush pink Roma 2, and I did add some pink jewelry but I returned to blue after that. Perhaps because I am a Pisces, a water sign, blues just speak to me.

I've looked at this garnet ring before but didn't buy it. it's been sitting in my shopping cart again today but I just haven't hit submit yet. I love the princess cut but I really shouldn't buy anything else!

My favorite stones are the blues of sapphires and topaz and zircon. Lately though I've been loving the pinks of sapphires, tourmaline and rhodolite garnets.

The only Garnet I like is the Blood Red Garnet which I rarely see anymore. I see a lot of orangey ones or pinkish ones but not the deep, blood, ruby red.

My dad's college ring from WAY back is a garnet. A REAL blood red garnet (back in the day when you could get a real stone in your college ring). He treasured what the ring represented and I treasured him.

Maybe that's why I favor only that shade. : )

Jeeze, I love almost all colored gemstones. Blue is my favorite color, but I have some garnets that are dear to my heat. Found a beautiful pair of j-hoop garnet earrings in Amsterdam a couple of years ago that I wear a LOT, so of course I had to find a nice pendant to go with it, then there was another pair of garnet studs in the same cut as the pendant and . . . . . you see how easy it is to get carried away.

A poster mentioned Russian chrome diopside, which is sooooo lovely I couldn't resist getting a couple of pieces; another poster mentioned kyanite, which is on my radar to add to the collection; someone else mentioned rhodolite, which is pretty hard to find but a genuinely lovely stone. My favorite stone changes all the time--or maybe I just love them all!

Was shopping around, found a Evine vendor Fierra, wow nice rings and settings.Check it out, beautiful settings and stones. High prices! Never saw a show, but I sure would like to.

There are few gem colors I don't love. I went totally bonkers over black spinel and chrome diopside the last few years. Then I switched to amethyst for awhile, then back to my original love, blue topaz. Then there are the opals, all of them, in any color. Its an absolute sickness.

Almadine Garnet. Garnets come in many beautiful colors. They have good refractive index when cut properly they sparkle like diamonds.

@qualitygal, Bixbite is extremely rare and pricey. Mind sharing where hubby purchased this genuine stone?

Rhodolite Garnet is beautiful. The two are separate stones. Bixbite is a Beryl. Rhodolite of course, you know is a Garnet.

If you like Judith Ripka, there is a garnet band ring on clearance J327066. I ordered it to go with the romance bangle I bought recently. If the stones on the ring are as pretty as the ones in the bracelet, it will be a keeper.

@windfall I have that garnet band ring and it's very pretty. Nicely saturated stones too not muddy or brown looking. I surely didn't get it at a clearance price though. Enjoy your new ring, I'm sure you'll love it. Have to say though, I don't purchase her jewelry anymore because once she sold her company, the quality of her jewelry has gone downhill. She was putting undergalleries on her rings and the last two rings I ordered from her was missing them. So after that, I haven't made a purchase from her line at all again. Besides, she's gotten more greedy about her prices also. That particular ring you ordered is a winner. Wear in the best of health.

Thanks @BlingQueen022. Good to know you were happy with your ring. I agree with you about JR's line going down in quality and up in price. I lost interest a while back when she started using diamonique in everything. I have to say, though, that her gemstones have always been very good quality in what I have received in the past. Wish I could say the same for some other lines I've tried recently elsewhere. :-/
