Your post made me recall how much I enjoyed the shows with KJL himself and then with Barry. It was so sad when Barry passed away. Those were some fun shows with iconic pieces.

@hovis - I miss his shows as well....I still wear the turquoise and gold starfish pin......I bought some years ago and a suite of three turquoise and gold necklaces.....timeless! His stuff never goes out of style....I wear it with a t-shirt and jeans.....

You can look him up in QVC jewelry and some of his pieces are still there.

I enjoyed Barry's shows but not Kenneth (although I always liked the jewelry). Kenneth coughed profusely during each show which was hard to listen to. And he came across as rather snobby. I much preferred Barry as the guest vendor.

I loved the time he "drove" out in that cardboard Rolls Royce and the door fell off and he quipped "they just don't make Rolls like they use to". Mom and I laughed till we cried. I also liked his advice about how much jewelry to wear...."Put it all on then take one piece off". Great advice and a true artist. Miss his shows.

that was a classic qvc blooper!

i miss kjl, barry, AND the line on qvc. i often browse through ebay and find some good deals on brand new items or on gently used items. they are wonderfully made pieces. i am particularly fond of his brooches.

I loved his jewelry so much. I have an elephant watch I treasure. BTW..."OFF PARK" is on JTV which has some pretty fabulous KJLesque looking jewelry and some fab hard sided clutches...crystals and critters...
