topic Florentine scratching and water mark question in Shoes

Ladies, I am considering purchasing a new Florentine bag (what style not sure yet) in the latest pink color. Its all about the color for me if I go through with it. I previously owned the large florentine satchel in black which I long ago sold-- gorgeous bag, but black isnt really my style, it was too heavy when empty, and the access was difficult with the foldover entry. I have read some complaining about the scratching on the Florentine leather, but I didn't notice anything with my black one. THEN AGAIN IT WAS BLACK. I also didn't notice water marks and how they might impact the leather. For those of you who have this bag in a light or bright color, how is it wearing? Does it scratch too often, what happens if it rains? I would really appreciate feedback, thanks!
