I need a good sandal with arch support for very flat feet. I find Vionic to be too hard and stiff for my arch ( or no arch) . I have never tried Aetrex and wondered how they compare. They almost look to be too high for me but hope to get some feedback from anyone who has worn them. I am trying to find arch support that is "mild".

I bought a pair of Aetrex shoes some 10 years ago, a sort of covered toe Mary Jane with one velcro cross strap, like 1/2 inch heel in tan color. The angles were cut nice, modernized the vibe. They've exceeded my expectations for comfort & useage. Tried on in shoe store, not the cheapest but ends up a great value. Good luck! I have probably 20 Vionic sneakers & sandals from the Q.

I have a couple of pairs of Aetrex sandals with about a 2 inch wedge. I really like them and it's a comfortable wedge height as I'm not as stable as I once was but they are really cute and comfy with good arch support. I also own a couple Vionics but I feel the arch support can be too high for me, it's odd as I have a high arch??

I own and wear both Aetrex and Vionic. In my opinion - Aetrex has a mild arch in comparison to Vionic. Aetrex shoes used to have a perfect, wonderful arch but in the last decade, perhaps, they began a push for custom insoles. So, you buy a closed in shoe that contains their included insole but would find more support or cushion or both if you purchase their insoles and replace the included one with it.

I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. While at the Podiatrist, he informed me I had flat feet. I showed him my Vionic insoles (the ones that come in their shoes) and he said they were not supportive enough. He carries inserts that are about $50. I had a pair of Revitalign sneakers on that were flat on the bottom (no raised arch at all on the sole, and he said I need sneakers that are not flat on the bottom. Recommended Hoka, Brooks, or on the lower cost end New Balance Nothing flat on the bottom.
