SAS shoes anyone?

I was looking at a pair of shoes on the website, tstraps. They looked so comfortable but are close to 200$. I've never spent that much on shoes. Still on the fence. I need a new kitchen table set so will probably add the money to that. But they sure looked good.

I have worn SAS shoes and sandals for decades, they are so well made they have lasted all that time. A few months ago I purchased two pair of sandals, comfy.

I have to save and budget in order to buy them, well worth the price.

I wore SAS for years when I was in Texas where they're widely available. I have bad pronation and found them to be too soft and pliable, not giving my footb enough support.

@MoJoV I wear SAS exclusively. They are comfortable and supportive. I only wear closed-in styles. My foot is narrow. They make my size. A pair of SAS shoes lasts a long time. Many of mine are the "Dream" shoe in a variety of colors, but I have some that look like loafers, some with a wedge, and an interesting mix of styles.

San Antonio Shoemakers. Most are still made in the USA!

My mom wore them for many years.

My mother & aunt wore SAS shoes. They loved them for the comfort and fit, but they couldn't afford them all the time. They both needed special sizes they could never find in regular shoe stores, and at SAS they could get their exact size and width custom made. One of my sisters has a few pairs. She says they are the most comfortable and best fitting shoes she has ever worn. They are American made & very durable too.

I never liked the styles or appearance of SAS shoes. I always thought they looked a bit orthopedic and frumpy. I thought some styles looked better when I was in a SAS store with my sister last year. I tried on a pair of sneakers. They felt really good on my feet. I wear 8 - 8.5 M width, but I have a narrow heel like my mom, and a medium bunion on one foot like my aunt. I didn't end up buying them, because they were really expensive. I didn't need a new sneaker at that time either.

I might consider a sneaker or loafer in the future since those are 2 styles of shoes I wear frequently.

I used to buy SAS shoes for my mother-in-law. There are SAS outlet stores that sell discounted shoes.

Check to see if there is one near you.

@MoJoV @I love Sas shoes, but you just have to choose the style carefully. There are just a few styles I like for my very narrow feet. They are super well made and comfortable.

They are a very good brand, and are durable. They may cost more than some like, but they are also made in America.

I bought them for years for my mother. They do have some nice stylish sandals and loafers. My only problem with them is that I need a wide width and theirs also have a wide heel area which I do not need. They were also too loose in the back for me.

I used to wear them a lot.........until I started having knee issues. Now I need more padding.

And like others said, they last forever. Best quality shoes.

@MoJoV - I love them! I too started wearing them in Texas and knew exactly where they were made.

We went to Disney World when I was expecting. It was summer and I worried about keeping up. Someone told me to wear my SAS sandals. I took one pair of black and one pair of brown, and that's all I wore. My feet and my legs were fine.

The store that carried them near here closed a while ago. That, plus the price of them now, has kept me from buying them.

But I know they are quality, and that's what I pay for. There are just other, less expensive ones that I like too.

I have worn them for years and usually get them if I can find a sale. They really did me good when I had my knee replacement providing support and comfort. I highly highly recommend. And they last a few years, too so for the comfort and lastability - well worth the price ! !

I just ordered a pair of SAS LOAFERS. i have2 pair that are 20 years old plus several others bought over the years.

They are the only shoes my husband and I wear. They are worth every penny.
