Sneaker recommendations please.

I’m looking for very comfortable sneakers preferably with arch support. Both loafer ( or slip on style) and traditional sneaker style. I had a couple of Skechers but my feet in the slip on felt clammy. I’m on my feet all day at work so since my attire is all black my sneakers need to be as well. For the slip on without socks I want something that breathes without the clammy feeling. Thanks in advance.

As a nurse , I love the New Balance Roav. Current, I'm on my 2nd pair of ASICS's. I love them both equally. Right now On clouds are popular but I've not had any luck with them. A lot of ppl like Hokas as well, but I've never wore them.

I like good arch support and love Asics. If for some reason I can't find the perfect arch support, I'll buy a pair of orthotics. There's many to choose from for the perfect fit.

Hoka,for regular tie sneakers, i bought a pair of ryka eco knit slip ons, i loved them so much ,i bought a second pair,i was so surprised ,because i have knee and hip proplems.

My DH had some serious foot surgery a couple of years ago and the surgeon recommended HOKA's. We both wear them now. They are very comfortable and supportive. Brooks are also great.

Brooks Ghost sneakers are the only ones I can wear. Found out about them when my physical therapist was wearing them. They come in a zillion different colors too!

@brandiwine When I had a foot problem a few years ago, my doctor also recommended Hoka. And we have a store a few minutes from where I live. BUT too expensive for me and I don't like that the name is so prominent on the shoes. Also too athletic looking.

I have found Bzees, Jambu and Easy Spirit work for me at a much lower cost.

Also Orthofeet have a good selection of shoes.

You're going to get your best support from a traditional running shoe. All the brands people are recommending here? They may be fine for their feet but not for yours. I highly, highly, highly recommend going to your nearest Fleet Feet and letting them fit you for a shoe. They physically measure and have machines that measure your gait, pronation, etc. Then they will select several shoes that would be good choices for you based on your fitting. And if you don't like them after wearing them several times? You can take them back for a full refund. They're not cheap, but you will be so happy you took this route. For me, Saucony shoes are the best, but no one else has mentioned them, so that kind of proves my point. What brand of shoe (and model within the brand) that is good for one person won't fit another person correctly. And most brands have at least one black option.

Nurse Mates are very firm and supportive with a nice arch support. They're made for women who are constantly on their feet.

If you dont want sweaty, clammy feet, don't buy the knit poly sneakers that are so prevalent now. They're hot too.

Sneakers are only one option and an inexpensive brand probably won't give you what you need and want.

Merrell makes nice clog type slip ons. Wonderful support. I have yet to wear out a sole.

I need cushioning for my knees and I'm an 11W in most athletic shoes. I've found I can take a 10W in Easy Spirit Traveltime and I often remove their insole after it wears down and replace it with another brand of insole.

For sneakers, I've purchased Altra shoes.....they come in different widths depending on the shoe, are zero drop and I change/add additional insoles when theirs wear out. Found I could not get the right fit w/Hokas.

If you need to purchase online, I would try Zappos - they have free shipping and returns (UPS) - I believe you can return up to a year. Their prices are not as good as they used to be.

Hoka, Brooks and Kuru, Merrill. Kuru is for people with foot issues. They are online only but they're return policy is great. I used them when I was suffering with plantar fasciitis.

I tried Easy Spirit and was very underwhelmed. Ordered 5 pairs and found them very lacking and sizes inconsistent. I also don’t like big logos on my sneakers. I like them somewhat more “dressy” than casual. I work in cosmetics so it needs to be black to go along with my clothes. Thanks

@Ainhisg Saucony fan here,too! I love them and I walk every day between 4-5 miles so I need arch support and good cushioning. Sometimes I can find them at Marshall's. Otherwise I go to DSW for a better selection.
