topic Vionic High Tide II now in half sizes. in Shoes

I have been buying Vionic sandals since the first became available over 10 years ago. Most of my sandals are in the “rest” silhouette but I have quite a few pairs of high tide. All are size 8. They all fit perfectly and I love them.

I see now they introduced high tide II, which come in half sizes. Should I order “true to size” in my regular eight, or size up because I normally wear an 8 1/2.

It doesn’t make sense that you’re told to size down for years and years and now they don’t and don’t even mention it. I know inflation is out of control and prices are going up everywhere, but these are almost double what I paid for them just a few years ago. They were well and they do their job, but I am hesitant to spend that kind of money plus fee to return them, if I don’t know what size to order.
